Atrocious & Intrusive Advertising
I was trying to watch a program, there was a joke where a character was incomprehensible and they put up very fast subtitles. I wanted to pause and read the subtitles. Every time I paused instead of, you know freezing the frame on screen, it showed a still ad for some rubbish American beer. I pay a TV license, that covers channel 4. I understand ads are a part of television. But to put ads up while I'm trying to pause to pick up details is irritating and intrusive. All you are doing is incentivising piracy. The only reason I didn't is because I want to support the creators of the program I'm watching. Piracy is now easier than watching a program legitimately. Why would anyone put up with this when we can get have a better experience for free.

40minute episode plus 25 minutes ads= 65 minutes 🤡🤡🤡
claims ad revenue is what keeps the app running however flooded with far too many ads for profit in response to your response, no i won't contact your team if i receive at least 4-5 breaks of 4 minutes ads each, do what you will. As for the fact you claim to equalise telvesioj advert times when you exceed it, we live in a world where digital medium is either ad free or anything over 10 seconds is skippable. Catch up.

Useless. It is like is was designed by a child. Also, ads when you pause? Get lost... It's not like any of the content is that good anyhow, iPlayer makes this look pathetic frankly.

I'm in Wales and I can't use the Channel 4 app? What's all that about?! I've used this app many times before, but I uninstall it when I'm not. Whoever is responsible for this, please sort it out?
