BBC iPlayer - Latest Quality Issues
iOS

Poor quality
Not sure why the video quality is so poor on iPlayer, even when downloaded and I have higher quality downloads selected. The shows that I know should look fantastic, like all the nature series, look slightly pixelated and low resolution compared to watching content on another app like Netflix

What have you done to this app, younow have to sign in every time you want to use the iPlayer, then re sign in when you press a link to iPlayer, absolutely useless... Time to uninstall 😡

BBC iplayer is not fit for purpose. Rarely does it successfully catch-up a programme from the beginning when requested. Not that there are many programmes that are shown on any of the BBC channels that are worth catching up on, they all seem to be repeats or painfully cringworthy dross such as the recent Eurovision 'song' contest. Absolute trash, but what else in on TV these days that has not already been seen. The BBC news also seems to be forever a conservative party political broadcast.

Mining your personal data every time you use this app. Shameful.

Over the last few months I have had buffering for ages before the app shows the users, then buffering again for ages and then, I can only see my downloads, I cannot access anything else to get the rest of my programs or to see episodes that failed to download. Getting f fed up with it now.

Good app but still kicks you out of what you were watching if you leave for five seconds

Generally good but playback stutters on this tablet - a manual setting for playback to save data might well solve the problem!
