to many "Breaking News Alerts" that are old news or analysis rather than actual Breaking news
Android

Installed for a week and then uninstalled. I'll go back to using the browser. Half the articles won't load, navigation is confusing. Terrible UI.

Feels like three steps back
I resisted the upgrade to the black version as long as I could; but I was now forced to “upgrade”. The new version is truely terrible and a huge step back. The reviews since the update have been uniformly negative, but BBC doesn't seem too bothered to respond to the criticism of their customers, as this update is now over 6 months old with no rollback or tweaks.. As they have sucked the functionality and fun out of this app I will sadly have look for alternatives; pity

Terrible new update!
I loved the old BBC app! The new updates have ruined the experience. Whoever is in charge needs to reverse this decision ASAP. It's sad to see a great app be destroyed so carelessly.

Excellent to Annoying
Updates since 2023: Intrusive ads Worse layout Annoying popups Loyal since the app first appeared more than 25 years ago, but they've lost me now. Sad.

what happened
a great news app, now it's useless no good so hard to navigate can't get to what you want
Android

Was great until they changed the articles so you cannot select an image and zoom into it, around May 2024. On a phone device, this is unacceptable.
