No longer recognises Northern Ireland postcode.
Since the recent update, the app no longer recognises Northern Ireland postcodes, making the app completely useless now. The update has been out a few weeks now and no sign of them fixing the problem. It's taken a step backwards unfortunately as the app to be pretty good.

Carefully created to avoid negative feedback on drivers
The functionality of the app is fine, however; it is created in such a way that one is unable to leave any kind of constructive criticism or feedback on drivers who do not perform. For companies or individuals who are continually having messages of 'we're sorry we missed you' when they allegedly attempt a delivery, but they actually don't as it's more along the lines of it was late and they simply couldn't be bothered... there is no way of getting genuine concerns heard. Even phoning through the app has proved pointless. So as such, I avoid DPD, and their app, wherever I possibly can for the EX32 delivery route, they are absolutely terrible, completely unreliable, & unprofessional. Hermes is more reliable!!!

Failed delivery
Tony failed to deliver my parcel. I live in a block of flats that has an intercom. For some reason he failed to use it. It works and we were in. He took a picture of the front entrance and that was it. And said we were not in Note. The front entrance had the mobile number of our concierge. He could have rang that and he come to the front and let him. He even took a picture of it. So it was not as if he missed it. To some up this experience of Tony. He was incompetent. Plain and simple.

Terrible app, no information available that I need. I had to ring for advice & after my call was answered, I could not understand what the lady was saying! After 3 mins of listening to other calls (I think she just left me on hold) I was cut off. Very poor service

From great to terrible
The app had been working perfectly and now when I've went to track a parcel today, had to start to resign in to it, only to be told that they don't “offer preferences” in my area. DPD have always and still do deliver to my house and area so someone somewhere has borked the app badly.

Worst service ever
They have in reliable drivers who literally don't even knock the door didn't even attempt to get out of car and took a picture and drove off and said no one was in. Also the chat service and customer help line is a disgrace to its self never trust ur parcel with this company it needs to be bankrupt

In my experience today (15 May '24) the App did not produce the Map to trace where my delivery Person was, who by the lied he came to my house.

The DPD app lets you arrange the best possible delivery experience. Just tell us how and where to deliver from the range of options available and we’ll do the rest. 

Personal delivery preferences - if you’re not going to be in, you can use the DPD app to make sure you can still receive your parcels.  Tell us to deliver straight to your chosen DPD Pickup location or, to your chosen neighbour or safe place.  You select your preferences and we’ll make sure we follow your instructions every time!

30-minute delivery alerts - we don’t want you to wait in all day so with all your DPD deliveries, we’ll let you know in advance when to expect delivery and when we are just 30 minutes away. 

Active and previous deliveries - using your DPD app you can see a list of current deliveries and track when your parcels will be with you. When we’ve delivered to your chosen safe place we’ll even send you photos of your parcel in that location for added peace of mind you.

Multiple addresses - set your work, home, or even family member’s address preference, so you can tailor your delivery experience and still get your deliveries, wherever you are in the UK.

Driver tracking - see the name and a picture of your driver or why not track their location and find out where you are in the delivery queue. See your driver's estimated arrival time so you know when to expect your parcel.

In flight options - when we’re on our way to you, if your plans change you can still rearrange your delivery right up until we deliver your parcel. You can instruct our driver to deliver on a different day, to a preferred neighbour, to a safe place or even to one of our 2,500 DPD Pickup shops.

Pickup shops - if you’re collecting your parcel from a nearby DPD Pickup shop, get opening hours, your pickup pass for collection and directions from your delivery address.
