Poor functionality
It is good to check the contents of the reservation on the PC, but it is inconvenient to make a reservation via the app. For example, it is not possible to search without the point usage option.

Everything is AI response , no help if AI can’t answer your question or need further assistance
My booking is cancellabile . However AI can't seem to find my confirmation even though I've paid and have a confirmation number. I'm going in circles . Incredibly frustrating to not have an actual human to help figure or or explain why I'm unable to cancel. This will be the last time I book anything with Expedia .

Deleted other accounts on my phone
Update: no Expedia .. I do not want a discount on my next purchase from you… I want the $2k you cost me. I have opened an account with Expedia and Vbro twice and since all the data was deleted before.. “we have no records”… I'm sick of sending screenshots and account records for you to tell me again “we have no record”…, quit wasting my time. I was in a battle with customer service for a fraudulent rental on the VRBO app. Once I realized that Expedia also owned VRBO .. I deleted my Expedia account… they also deleted my VRBO account so now VRBO owes me almost $2,000 and claims they can't do anything about it because I deleted my Expedia account. Cute trick. Scammy I don't want fake Expedia credit… I want my $2k in cash. Update: vrbo has a 1.7 on Trustpilot and a 1.5 on consumer affairs. Save your lip service. My mama raised a fool…. But it was my brother.

Fraudulent and Extremely poor Customer Service
I encountered an infuriating debacle during my transit in Paris, where I was abruptly halted and informed that my ticket routing through Belgium was null due to visa requirements. Despite my desperate plea for assistance, Expedia proved utterly incompetent in procuring a new ticket, leaving me stranded and helpless. Subsequently, I was left with no choice but to pay out of pocket for a replacement ticket, further exacerbating my financial burden. Even more appalling was Expedia's callous disregard for customer satisfaction, as they callously refused to provide any form of reimbursement or compensation for the unused portion of my original ticket. This egregious display of negligence and indifference has left me seething with frustration and resentment towards their abysmal service.

They rented us a room that “sleeps 5”. When we arrived all they had was a single room with two queen beds. So I suppose we are supposed to cram three adults into a queen bed? We asked this very question and their response was “theoretically, yes you could do that, which is why we advertise it can sleep 5”. 🙄🙄 We asked if they had a roll away bed we could use and they said they did have roll aways, but would not allow us to use it in the room since it was a fire hazard. They were not apologetic about the situation at all. We ended up having to scramble last minute to find a room in another hotel that actually slept 5.

Impossible to talk to an agent!
I have been trying for 30 minutes to speak to a human being and all I get is a virtual agent telling me to wait patiently for my next place in line. The app is great when you want to book something but not when you want to change it.

Garbage
Don't be fooled thinking you're getting a good deal. You surrender control and have no ability to change things or even access your bookings without going through their service. Can't do flight check in's, pick seats or other options. Just book it yourself or collect loyalty points with hotels/airlines and you'll be better off!
