Flawed account & ID verification process, poor app chat
Account setup and verification process is flawed and does not link actual name, email, and ID correctly. No ability to change or update these details without you having to delete your account which also permanently closes that account and email. The unique identifier seems to be your ID and not email and triggers duplicate account errors. In-app chat struggles - truncates messages, and super slow, seems like a memory issue or inefficiency. App and process needs a lot more work, testing of use cases, etc

Great service, but app’s location map lagging
Love Kyte, have used it several times. Kyte is very convenient for us city-dwelling one-car family folk who sporadically need a second vehicle for larger groups or weekend kid transportation logistics. The app is great, but the Surfer Tracking Map was completely inaccurate. I checked and refreshed the map multiple times, and it always showed the car “18 minutes away”, even when it was parked at my house. Once that gets worked out, I would give you guys 5 stars. :-)

Scam
Don't use this app unless you have $500 you can spare for an extra 2 weeks after you use this service. Never seen something so ridiculous. Getting to the rental place was also a nightmare. Will never use again.

Unprofessional and dangerous.
Car was given with a have a gas tank, dirty windshield covered with dead bugs, dirty and sticky back seats. When time came to use headlights, headlights were dim as candle! If you decide to rent from them make sure car is functioning properly.

When I extended my rental for a day they charged me way above the original price I was paying per day.

Worst service-do not trust
Do not rent from this company, they will be late and deliver the wrong class of car: I reserved an luxury SUV and got a cheap sedan. The sedan had a busted bumper, check engine light on, was dirty with dog hair all over the seats, and I was told by the Kyte surfer to deal with it and call customer service. Take my advice and use Hertz or a reputable company that won't ruin your road trip.

If I could give negative stars I would. If you are downloading this app, stop, and pay a bit more and rent from a legit rental car place. I'm still not convinced this is some kind of scam. Heading to DCA I gound these guys on Expedia. Good price so I went for it. Then the hassles started. I had to download an app (first red flag). Apps access our phones data. I don't need that. Then I had to take a flicking selfie and photo of my driver's license. THEN, later I got message that I had to provid

The surfer handoff is fundamentally flawed. A person was supposed to come pick up the car (a service you pay extra for) at the end of my booked trip within a time window scheduled in advance. Day-of, after waiting 20 minutes, a representative informed me that they had nobody to pickup the car within the next two hours. Additionally, if we didn't reschedule the pickup for that day, I would be charged for an additional day, despite the fact that the delay was caused on their end. Can't recommend.
