Very commercial
Very commercial and a lot of people who don't show up. I think that's a great pity. I just want to look for second-hand stuff and not twenty "paying" ads. I understand marketplace "the site" because they want to make as much money as possible and they succeed very well. So this review doesn't change that at all.

App keeps spamming useless notifications in your notification bar on a daily basis, with no proper method to turn that off. That's why I removed the app.

The latest versions contain a bug in the Android app that prevents you from clicking on the Experiences on the user's profile to view it. You can do that through an advertisement. Another, long-standing defect is that if a bid is withdrawn, no notification is given in the app. Otherwise a great app, just a pity that scammers are often active and Marktplaats apparently cannot effectively keep them out.

Scammed via marketplace
When you get scammed via marktplaats, you have nowhere to go. Only gets automatic replies and no one to speak to. Scammers are free to go about their business on this platform and they know it.

I tried to think along to improve the app by giving my feedback on the app, because I experienced an awkwardness in the app. No contact form to be found on the site or in the app, so just via chat function on the site. While typing my feedback (which unfortunately takes some time, unfortunately it is) the chat was closed twice before I had sent my feedback :( Very frustrating while you want to think along.
