Still charging buyers fees
I still will not purchase from Mercari due to the fees being passed onto the buyer. The additional fees make a relatively cheep item cost so much more. Doesn't make it worth it to buy on their site. If the everything was put back to how it was at the beginning of the year it would be great. They didn't make anything better for anyone using the app with the fees.

Getting rid of return for any reason
Getting rid of customer focused return policy, multiple fees collected for each transaction, messaging in app barely functions. Deleting my account today

Be careful you can’t close your account.
You can't remove your account or delete it. You are stuck in a vicious circle of looking for an answer which doesn't exist. Sellers ship slowly and items arrive broken. You will be disappointed. Do not join!

Used to love it but now fees and more fees
I mainly buy things on here. I loved it at first. Now with the price of the item, shipping and the new fees sometimes you are better off going to the store and getting it brand new or off Amazon with prime. People still want high prices even though they aren't paying the fees anymore. I've found some stuff that ended up being cheaper brand new in store. Hopefully mercari changes this. Not great for buyers anymore. Harder to find good deals on USED items.

Mercari why?
The service fees and processing payment fees kill this app. It makes stuff so expensive when the total was somewhat cheap to begin with it makes it cost so much more. there is a processing payment fee? I have used this app for about a year, these new changes are questionable. As a buyer I don't agree with these extra fees. Especially when the service fees and the processing fees. Could jack up the price well over 100 dollars on some items. I definitely find myself not purchasing anymore like I used to. This app charges the service fee claiming it will make the app easier and more enjoyable to use. Although it can't even send me notifications about items when I enabled them. There has been numerous amount of times. When I went to buy something out of my favorites/liked tab, just to find out it sold 2 days ago. It's so frustrating the apps notifications only work half of the time, or at least it seems that way.

Additional charges are ridiculous
Bought two items and had added in charges for shipping, payment processing fee, SERVICE FEE, and taxes and it cost almost as much as the items I purchased. That's absurd and I will never buy here again.

Do not waste your time
Returns on this app are absolutely impossible. They will fight with you and make the process as difficult as possible. I purchased a shirt that was a large, but when it came it was an XL so I submitted a return with a picture of the tag. Even the buyer messaged me saying he was sorry and he'd take the return. But Mercari support said that the picture of the tag with the wrong size “wasn't enough evidence” they then put a 24 hour limit on you to get new pics in and make it as difficult as possible to get approved. Once finally being approved, they will not register a QR code to you, so if you don't have access to a printer, or time to go drive somewhere to print the label off in the next 3 days, you're screwed. The app is designed to make returns as difficult as possible so that they don't lose their transaction fees. As soon as this return process is done I'll be deleting my account.

I honestly used to love Mercari , but now after they slap on all the fees the item i want isn't even worth it anymore . For example , something is 13 dollars ? I'm not paying 21 for it . Something 89 dollars ? Why am i paying 110. It has just gotten ridiculous over the years

Ridiculous fees
Passing all fees on to the buyer is ridiculous. I just bought a $9 item that totaled $16 with fees and shipping. I'll definitely move my purchasing to other platforms; sellers usually post on multiple sites so I'll shop where fees are lower.
