The sheer arrogance that they think they can reinvent the wheel here is astonishing. I'll elaborate: They deviate from iOS standard tools here and tried to build their own video player. Which has a couple of nasty side-effects when trying to enjoy MotoGP: the videoplayer does not support picture in picture The iPhone doesn't even recognize that something is playing, so good luck trying to pause or play using Airpods or some other form of remote control No background playing possible, again, the iPhone doesn't recognize something is playing in the first place. Airpods spatial audio mode cannot be switched off! So, again, because the iPhone doesn't think you're actually playing anything, there's no way to switch modes from the menu! The light bar at the bottom of the screen, to swipe back to your homescreen (if you have an iPhone Xr or up), it never goes away. It just sits there and eats up what little number of pixels we get. Cannot zoom into the image. Boo! What an absolute disaster. General points about the player and app: Low, medium, high are NOT quality settings. Show me the pixel values. Or are you embarrassed to show it only goes up to 1080p for the low low fee of 150 euro/ year? Want to enjoy your content on the go, in low 5G areas or hotels with bad WiFi? Well, you're out of luck, buddy. For 150 a year, you do not get to download motogp sessions to enjoy them on the go. Get out of here! The only reason why you would develop a custom player, wouldn't that be because you want to implement special features? Like the multicam? Or the little bookmarks in the race? Makes sense to me. Well, NO, wrong again. Because you're not getting any of that here on mobile. So all those flashy features they're touting on they're sales page are 100% meaningless here. Good job! The videoplayer is the only thing of value in this app for me, I'm not sure if I'm the weird one in that regard, but this is why I'm slamming the app. Because it gets the very essential part that it needs to do 100% right, absolutely and horribly wrong! I've filled out what feels like a 1000 stupid Dorna questionnaires. I at one point got invited to participate in a special diary session for over a week giving feedback and feedback. (Never heard anything back btw) But they never listen, they have no idea what they're doing on this front. And it keeps getting worse. Thanks for wasting my time. Go and spend some more of your money to get celebrities to show up at your races, who have 0 knowledge or passion for this wonderful sport. Or spend it on organizing the countless of awkward celebrations we get to ‘enjoy'. Man o man. Invest your in your fans, Dorna!! Thank gód the riders and crews are so amazing at their jobs because they are the only reason I still support this trash.

The app itself is designed terribly, with as much money as Dorna and the FIA make you'd think they could pay to have a decent user interface designed. Not only is the functionality terrible, but AirPlay doesn't work with the app. The entire purpose of me purchasing the subscription was to watch MotoGP at home, but the developers pathetic product isn't even functional. A disgustingly massive rip off, avoid using the app at all costs.

You say any device, but it's not available on gaming consoles?! I resubscribe when I can stream via console like other major sports.

Maybe they were using a line that couldn't handle the high volume of traffic, so the main event of the Grand Prix kept stopping. It wasn't even live or anything.

low resolution video quality on a dedicated app

Sometimes the stream doesn't want to start and I need to close and open the app, also many times the video just stops and only gives audio for a minute and then this also stops. This happens several times per race/quali, extremely frustrating. This is all with good reception and internet speeds. Also sometimes I can not watch the race on race day and have to wait till the day after I'm just not sure if this is something to do with the app.

I don't understand why the app needs registration with email, location sharing, etc. Deleted immediately.
