Customer service
The local branch closed so now I drive 45 minutes to the nearest branch. Due to credit card fraud I had cancelled my cards several times in the past few years so when it came time to do my tax I needed to request statements for cancelled cards which are now closed accounts which I therefore do not have access to online. This is crazy. It's my information and it should be in my online app. When I got to the branch this was an inconvenience for the staff member who served me. I felt like saying money is paying your wages so don't complain. I said nothing. The exercise took around 30 plus minutes. I didn't check her work and she gave me the wrong statements besides me stating numerous times it's the $3,000 limit card not the $1,000 limit card that I need statements for. So then when I realised I returned to the branch another day, another 90 minute trip plus 40 mi utes there. This time the teller said the information wasn't there. Which was clearly incorrect. I stayed patient with her, and knew that if I spoke with Mary-Anne Moore she would sort it out. A few minutes later Mary-Anne had finished with a customer and took on my request so the huge queue behind me could start moving. Of course the information was there and she printed off the statements for me. Let me be clear Mary-Anne is the only reason I am still banking with the NAB. She has helped me on at least 2 other occasions when her colleagues were incompetent/unable to. It is however ridiculous in this day & age that I can not access an electronic copy if my statements. Now I need to spend the weekend manually entering in the details into a spreadsheet for my accountant so they can complete my 2023 tax and financial reports. For the bank that purports to be the business bank it's not doing a very good job of meeting some simple customer needs.

Request a decrease in interest rate
We have notice how excessive our home loan rate is rising. It is becoming unmanageable. Please consider reducing the rate. Please confirm back that this is possible by 17.5.2024 . Regards Katrina

Deliberately confusing app and desktop site
Makes it impossible to modify loans and find statements. Money making exercise to avoid to increasing repayments Convoluted steps to be able to access “letters”. Way behind competitors and is downright pathetic for a banking app. CommBank had a better app 20 years ago

Depositing a cheque
Rather difficult for me an older customer! Don't use cheques these days but got one in the mail No local branch so had to use the app. Doubtful if I'll remember the process if I have to use again. Confusing!

No Date & Time a Transaction Took Place
The app is very well designed and intuitive, and looks appealing. Has the ability to do most things in the app, though some things are only available on internet banking instead. The main issue I have is that transactions move around. They first get the date the transaction took place, then suddenly when it settles, the date changes. Why? In a time where money moves so fast and it's all digital, why are we still interested in the post date? So I'm asking, please label transactions with the date and time the transaction took place; that will make this app 5 stars easily.
