Phone lost or stolen? Can’t download railcard
I recommend instead purchasing the Railcard through Trainline or TrainPal and avoiding this app altogether so in the unfortunate event that your phone is lost you can save yourself the hassle of having to explain to ticket inspectors Every. Single. Time. why you can't download the railcard onto your new device. I have contacted Railcard support 3 times with the error code that is reported when attempted to download the railcard onto a new device - and no response. Also I'm not sure why it even needs to be tied to the device in the first place, rather than the account itself, as the railcard has a photo and full name, so it's not like two people can use it. Avoid

Is it deliberately slow, error-prone, and flaky to renew in order to get one full priced fare out of the users when they realise it has lapsed at the last moment before buying?

Bought 3 year railcard jan 2020 and wasn’t allowed extension
Fobbed off continually, I was not allowed an extension though not able to use my 3 year railcard for substantial periods during 20-23 As well as during Covid, multiple strikes meant I had to use national express bus services into london instead, eg 14th Dec 2022. When I asked about this I was continually fobbed off. Disgraceful service.

The app is not always accessible yet we are advised that a photo is not valid! Here is an example of digitalisation going wrong!

3 Railcards
Ive ended up with three railcards having tried to renew my last one. Popping up devices asking for 20% off before you've completed. Acceptance code not actually working immediately. . Very confusing and now be got to try and get my money back ??

Renewal problem
I renewed my railcard, but it did not download into my phone. I didn't realise, and have been fined £73, even though I could show on my phone that payment had been made and I had bought a railcard that was valid up to February 2025!

Doesn't Support Apple Wallet
Rubbish app that doesn't work when you need it too! No Apple Wallet support is a massive drawback. Completely pointless.
