New “updated” app unreadable
My iPad can no longer read the app. I have updated my app to the latest available for my iPad and now my subscription $$ are trash. MORONS! You have precluded so many from reading your app! At least have the decency to refund my $$.

Keeps losing credentials. Like all these "news apps" its really just a wrapper on a browser. Don't know if the fact that ever few weeks it forgets my credentials is due to inept implementation, due to them switching the underlying browser, or what. But it should be implemented to not keep losing credentials.

Latest update killed my access
This latest update requires iOS 16. My iPad is on 15.8 and is up to date. The app is no longer accessible even via an earlier release. The error message directs me to use the web at NYTimes.com. So much for quick and easy. Not ready to buy a new iPad.

App is fine, organization is terrible. Maggie Haberman believing everything Cohen says as a source is fine, but anything he says under oath is hearsay. blatant double standard showing intentional bias. Maggie's articles should require a footnote. The NYT seems more married to the idea of "both sidesism" than to truth.

A simple web app. Broken on older iphones
What happed? NYT broke the it app all iPhones that can't run IOS16. C'mon Gray Lady. Do something good for sustainability by supporting older phones. In return, I'll continue to support journalism. Both are critical for the survival of humanity.

NYTimes is awful
This app is one of the worst news media apps I've used. It's glitchy, and the commenting moderation is biased towards certain viewpoints. The app detects dissenting opinions and suppresses information. This is really an awful app, and I do not recommend it to anyone with proper critical thinking. Let's not forget all the tracking and user info that it uses in sketchy ways. I wouldn't recommend it. See other reviews; they directly and indirectly corroborate mine. 1- star.

No longer works on iPad mini 4
Won't open unless I upgrade to version that's not available for devices with iOS below 16.x. My mini 4 is no longer supported. Why should I lose the NYT app because my tablet won't support whatever goofy bells and whistles the jackasses in their tech department have added. I come to the NYT to read articles and have always just wanted the app be a convenient way to access an electronic copy of the printed paper. Now I apparently can't have that anymore. Great work NYT tech department.

NYT motion graphics and video cannot be stopped. Why?
NYTimes, paying subscribers use your app but are visually bombarded with incessant motion graphics and video that cannot be stopped, including on your home page. Some of your users have neurological sensitivities due to Long COVID and other disabling post-infectious diseases. Why not stop the motion graphics and video & make your app handicap-accessible?

App doesn’t work for me, literally
New app won't let me read. I will cancel my 12 year old subscription as I can't read full articles without a working app and not buying an new iPad for this. Will rely on Washington Post instead. How disappointing!
