TfL Oyster and contactless - Latest Quality Issues
iOS
May 14, 2024
Not good enough
App which never works properly, always have some issues, like all TFL
iOS
May 14, 2024
Unable to top up via app
When attempting to top up, the app crashes at the authentication stage
iOS

Awful Experience
Beyond the fact that I get randomly logged out all the time, this app hasn't updated my journeys (which I take daily) for over a month now. So the account balance displayed in the app is completely useless. Add to that the fact that when you do top up via the app it takes 30 minutes to process which is absurd, given that the ticket machines in the stations are instant. This could be such a useful app but it just fails at every level.
Android

So many glitches.
iOS

Extremely poor
The app crashes/ lots of bugs when trying to pay and authenticate payments, takes about 4 attempts when it works… I can't believe this is in production - TFL this is extremely poor.
Android

Downloaded the app just to check balance on my Oyster card. I was asked to provide tons of personal data including my zip code I have no idea about. Failed.
iOS

Still same Problem with payment
I tried to top up my card three times - Nothing! Still the same problem, no progress
iOS

Rubbish
It's a struggle to use, from duplicating uploaded cards to failing to recall history of previous journeys. Use if you must.
Android
May 15, 2024
I just installed the app, neither my oyster balance or my journey history is correct. Its not showing anything past 1st April! I'm wondering what exactly the point is of it is. How hard is it to sync the data properly? I think I'll stick to the website.
