Wave is great, the app is not. You cannot even view transactions you've uploaded without paying the subscription. This makes it borderline useless.

Finally retired Quickbooks
Hallelujah. When a company forgets that it's built on customers choosing your product willingly, and instead squeezes the life out of you because they think we can't leave them, it's time to take a stand. So I risked it all to try Wave for a year. I'm very happy I did. I'd give it a five-star rating if it weren't for a couple key issues: Security No multi-factor authentication to protect our passwords. This is criminal negligence IMHO, and you have every right to walk away until they fix this MASSIVE SECURITY HOLE. We are entrusting access to our bank accounts, and all we have is a password to protect it. Not cool, Wave. Invoicing No direct credit card payments. To invoice my customers I have to send them an email that they then pay. I'd rather do like I did with Square, and have them tap their card on my phone. Yes, we carry a secure card reader in our pockets. Let us use that to take payments! Ok, so if I have to do an email invoice, I'd like it to take fewer steps. This is minor, but the UI is a bit clunky. Again, look to Square for ideas on how much smoother it can be enter a transaction and get paid. Banking & Reconciling Why do you lose the categorization when the money is deposited? You have the info from the invoice as to what accounts to credit. Shouldn't the deposit also show those categories, and be able to follow a deposit back to the invoice(s) that it satisfied? More transparency with matching transactions. It's not always clear to me when a transaction was matched to the bank statement. This is especially true when there's a transfer. I want to see both sides as the same transaction. Maybe this is just me.

Been in business for several years and when applying for to accept payments, I was denied on first try and forever denied even when petitioned stating it is final. Makes no sense with there reasoning. But I do like the invoicing, just can't accept payments, so they have to make checks or pay using 3rd party payment methods.

Not a great experience. We have been using Wave for several years - We were sold on their original mission "always free" and they would be funded by paid services like bookeeping and advisors. Well, it's no longer free. also, features that should be included in any accounting package like the ability to create a purchase order - we have asked for years and still not there. lately they misclassified my business and cut off my ability to receive payments. we are working on switching to Xero.

3 star for customer support. Canceled account, deleted And they are still charging me for subscriptions. Disputed. No real customer support. I'll send it to the settlement commission so they can be fined .The stupidest management counts penny and thinks that AI will replace technical support.

Every time I tried to log a transaction app crashed. Tried the desktop and it didn't recognize that I had a paid subscription.
