Worst Customer Service
Their customer service really lets them down. Staff are poorly trained. Response times are slow. You would think this would be better given that they're in the health & wellness space. The device is also never wrong. It's always the person & the manner in which the person wears the device, et cetera.

I love whoop and have been a loyal user for more than 3 years. Unfortunately the app broke with the latest release. The app crashes everytime I access the 'Plan' section, which means I can't even change or disable my alarm. I have tried to contact Whoop support for several days now, but I have gotten no response. They used to have great live chat support, but now it's just an AI coach and human support for actual issues is unavailable. This is unacceptable for a service that charges $30/month.

Wacky policies
It was pretty cool for the few weeks I could use it but then I was unable to use it for months (health reasons) and it was not possible to pause my subscription at all which I think is ridiculous.

The sleep and recovery score is inaccurate, it'll say you have 85% recovery and great sleep but you tossed and turned all night and feel awful all day from bad sleep so not very reliable. Also the customer service is abysmal, I've contacted whoop 3x in the last 1.5 months trying to get my strap updated to the 4.0 because the option doesn't exist for me in the app, they have never responded... once my 3.0 strap becomes unusable (very soon) I'm just getting rid of it and sticking to garmin.

Useful information once you get used to it. Sleep tracker occasionally misses part of sleep cycle. I like the Strain and Recovery ranking system because it simplifies data into actionable info. Much more practical on a day to day basis than a FitBit.

Scam app: you cannot remove credit card once you have added it. Even if you cancel subscription, your credit card details will always remain except if you provide a new credit card. You can't set it up for anyone.

Latest update
Your latest update did two things that make me less inclined to keep my membership. It notifies me that I should turn the whoop app back on to record my data the moment that I close the app. (Why anyone thought an annoying notification was a good idea is beyond me). You also put a red dot in the upper right hand corner indicating a recharge is needed even when I'm at 58%. The red light gives me anxiety and I'm less interested in looking at the screen.

Recovery: WHOOP lets you know how ready you are to perform by measuring your heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep, and respiratory rate. You'll get a daily Recovery score on a scale of 0 to 100%. When you're in the green, you're ready for strain, when you're in the yellow or red, you may want to evaluate your training program.

Behaviors: Track the impact of over 140 daily habits and behaviors, like alcohol intake, medication, stress, and more, to better understand how these various behaviors help or hurt you – and ultimately, make better lifestyle choices.
