Bugs?
I've been playing for over a year now and enjoy the daily crosswords. For the last few months (since they got rid of the daily goals) the app lags like crazy. I get stuck on the same clue and even though I type in the answer, it doesn't load, and then tacks on seconds to my time. Very frustrating!

Ads interrupt background music
Don't try to listen to music or a game on your phone in the background while using this app. The advertisements are all videos with sound so it constantly pauses whst ever you have playing in the background. Mute button doesn't do anything for adds. Sometime even when muted the sound for ads still play. Muting the game makes no difference either. How long will it be before some smart lawyer out there decides to sue all of these app developers who use video adds in their games. Vides use lots of data and for people who do not have unlimited data plan these app developers are forcing additional datata to be used. A smart attorney would file a class action lawsuit to stop video adds completely.

Was good…
Was a good app. Puzzles were a little too easy, but it was fun. A lot more to do than nyt app, on the daily. WAS. Now it takes an age to load. It's basically unplayable. Wait for the Home Screen to load, wait for it to register that youve swiped up or down or tapped something. Wait for the puzzle to load. Wait for 5-15 seconds for each letter to populate…it's ridiculous. It's not my phone, it's not my internet, it's the app.

I have been playing this game every day for months and every day I'm getting put back to 1 when i know, because I mark it on my calendar that ive "cleared" several games every lunchtime. And i don't always sleep through the night so i play after midnight and yet it says im back at square one! Im fixin' to delete it off my phone and do a different game that keeps accurate scores. BTW im on level 813.

Lags
Used to love this app but as reviewers have mentioned the bugs are awful. The mini puzzles played with tickets and the crosswords are timed which is pointless when it lags and isn't responsive. I keep checking for updates. Until then, it's difficult to stay engaged with it.

Two stars, I thought it was going to be a great game, but after a few days of playing regularly all of a sudden my screen started to flash, kinda like a flash on a camera but quicker, so I figured they were taking pics of my screen I guess trying to or did get as much of my info as they could, so deleting this app and clearing all info, so sorry to see me go loved to play wied search but you loved my info more....

Why the Dickens am I getting adds when I paid to not get ads?? Changed devices but the account the app was purchased under is the same.

Love this game for the most part. It is fun and gets more challenging. The only thing I don't like is when you play to win more avatars, you get the same ones over and over. It's frustrating because you play to get the new ones. I get frustrated and wait until the event is over because if I'm not winning new ones, there's no point in playing.
