Bait and switch
Received a trade in offer from a dealer after putting in info here. Went to redeem. All is well and about to leave with another car - someone comes in and says they messed up and can't honor so they knock $5k off. Car condition not a factor. I show them my offer from them on cargurus. It matches perfectly their “mistake”. “Cargurus doesn't sell cars. That offer didn't come from us.”

Adding photos is a nightmare
35 minutes just to add photos. Keeps giving them the same order number. Makes no sense. Then trying to reorder them, forget it. Does not work at all. Amateur app hour at best.

With this update ([value]), CarGurus removed the most critical filter: The option to filter the Vehicle Condition, History, and Title. So basically, they took away the consumer's ability to filter the results to remove vehicles with Frame Damage, Accidents, Theft History, Salvage Title, etc., making our search unpleasant. Please add it back to the filter options…

Laggy. Goes back to the top of the list when you go back from looking at a car. Everytime I open it, it defaults to searching for a [number]-[number] maxima in new Jersey. I hate [name]'s and I live in Colorado lol back to auto trader I go.

If you brows to long you getting blocked
I was browsing and looking for some cars at night nothing specific just browsing and learning about cars and there trim until I got a message that I got blocked because they believe I would be a robot… I logged out and back in I closed the app and reopened it same message I'm blocked and it looks like there is nothing you can do besides of creating a new account, kinda weird act from CarGurus but ok I'm just gonna look at carfax they never did something like that before.

Update (10 May [number]) The “Vehicle History” filter options are available when conducting a new search. However, it disappear when saving the search, forcing the user do a new search to filter unwanted vehicles.
