Dining with an Italian host
First of all - we are a group of six ladies and we were really looking forward to this evening in Trieste. The contact worked wonderfully, whether we prefer meat or fish. There are no allergies - so an uncomplicated round. The hostess welcomed us in her apartment and we started right away - 4 courses - we were happy. We started with a trilogy of appetizers in small bowls - very nice. The accompanying wine, however, surprised - Tokaj (?Hungarian?) and "supposedly" a carafe of Malvasia. Afterwards we were allowed into the kitchen - to watch the lady throwing noodles into the water - but they were homemade. That's it again. It became pasta with pesto. Good taste - the idea is unfortunately not new by now. The accompanying wine remained - Hungarian and the other undefined. The main course - everyone was looking forward to fish, served cuttlefish - cuddle fish - with peas, without . Good tasting - but not as expected - fish. In addition, there was a bottle of Chardonnay - which I wouldn't even use as vinegar anymore. Not a single original bottle has been opened. Grande Finale - coffee and a glass of limoncello - and ciao! We felt dispatched. The bottom line was ok - UNFORTUNATELY IT IS COMPLETELY OVERPRICED!!!! We really liked the idea of the Italian host, but honestly, look for a nice little Italian restaurant for 500 euros.

You should be aware that hop on hop off bus seas cannot accommodate you on busy days.
Real disappointing in Rome as you cannot get on the bus because there's too many people you can't find the bus because they're delayed with traffic and you guesses it, they're running way too few of buses ….because of the demand and the long line to people that want to get on you're waiting at the bus stop with 100 people that want to get on and no one wants to get off. Very disappointing taxi will end up being cheaper in the long run. The guy running the bus stop for hop on hop off buses told me to take the subway instead because he didn't know when his bus would be coming.

I have booked tickets through GetYourGuide several times. So far I haven't had any problems. However, more than that, a ticket was booked, the booking was confirmed and the amount was debited two months before the event. A note appeared in the app that the voucher would be placed in the app in good time. This was still not the case at the event. (First) When asked, it was tight-lipped that the organizer had not confirmed the booking for whatever reason, the amount would be refunded (the event itself, by the way, took place quite normally). It's unbelievable that you go to the confirmed and paid event and then get the hint on site that it just doesn't work. Very poor communication.

Very bad tour providers on offer. You arrive at the meeting point, where you learn that the tour has been cancelled (reason according to GetYourGuide "tour overbooked" - there was no tour!). They had allegedly had the wrong e-mail address and phone number of mine. Impossible, because I got the vouchers etc. all sent. Getyour Guide simply leaves these providers in the system so that other tourists can also fall for these dubious providers.

The reservation ticket was very difficult to understand, and the QR code that I reserved in advance, printed out, and brought with me could not be used locally, so I had no choice but to buy a new admission ticket at the site. When I read the e-mails after returning to Japan, it seems that they sent me a QR code that can be used locally by e-mail at the last minute. However, in China, it is difficult to check overseas emails due to online censorship. Wasted money. If you are traveling to China, we recommend Trip.

Useful to have the activities in one place but don't use the app to book. Far too much false and out-of-date information, whether it's the languages available or the opening hours

Awful service ! I booked 4 tickets for Auschwitz-Birkenau and they canceled my reservation "due to a political event" taking place in the respective destination. A big lie ! I went to the destination and there was no event. Tourists were buying tickets and entered the museum with no problem. So, GetYourGuide ruined my day ! I asked for a real explanation, they didn't even bother to answer me...One star because booking was easy.

It's great to be able to find tons of information for activities and to be able to book them but 1) sometimes some are obviously not verified and then the surprise is a cold shower. 2) Please improve the integration and, for example, launch the payment app instead of the website if the app is installed on the smartphone.
