The worst app on my phone at present. I am having to uninstall and reinstall several times a werk to get it to work. It does not open, it shows a white screen with a rotating circle and that goes on for ever. I have tried restarting my phone, resetting the hive hub. I have the latest Samsung phone and 1GB speed wifi. I have other apps , e.g Hue (for lights) and Ring alarm and they all work fine.

Unreliable and clunky app, your personal data is hidden behind a paywall. This app is only fit for cash cows ready to be milked.

This was a great app initially, but despite updating, and uninstalling and reinstalling, it will not open on my phone the vast majority of the time. Thankfully I had connected Alexa and can give some commands through that, but I'd much rather have control of my water and heating systems and their schedules by way of the app, rather than only being able to turn them on and off when immediately required.

Overrated but has uses when it works
Never a day goes by where something doesn't work properly. It's ok if you're a techie and able to fix problems easy but if you're not then I wouldn't bother with this system. I am a techie but I forever have to get my heating back online after it is blanked out in the app and I have a number of Hive bulbs that are unprogrammable and the ones that can be programmed just go off grid very often and do their own thing. I have BT full fibre which is 600mbps + so it is definitely not a wifi issue. The helplines are run by South Africans and the accent is incredibly hard to understand for a Brit and puts me off ringing. I haven't just written this review after owning for a couple of weeks and not being used to it, I am now in my second year of using Hive and am fully versed in the system but I would jump ship in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the cost and hassle. Continues to get worse with a bulb that customer service is unable to get working despite me spending hours on the phone with them. They say they will ring you the next day to check if it's working but they don't bother. They cut off the customer chat if you're not happy with them keeping you waiting 15 minutes every message while they deal with other customers. It's just terrible service all round. Terrible terrible terrible.

When it is working properly a good little system constantly having to go to the boiler or reconnect the whole thing is pretty useless waste of money will be getting replaced as sick and tired of nothing working or it putting heating on boost or something

Terrible. How long do you want us to try the new app before you actually bring it out. Either have one or the other ! ATM it's terrible nightmare trying to open the app as others agree! More than likely because you've rammed it full of bloatware like 2 different app interfaces. Haven't seen any real updates or new features for years!

The timer options are un usable, which defeats a lot of the uses of this equipment.
