Could not get my cash out
The service was appalling, really stupid situation where could not get your money out without a card but they don't provide a card on the savings account. However, they have took the complaint seriously and are looking to change the process. In addition they provided a small amount of compensation in a token gesture which was appreciated.

Wrongful recording of payment date
End of tax year - conscious that new tax year started on 6th April 2024. So I transferred funds on 6th April (as displayed at my personal bank) but Metro declared this transaction as of 5th April 2024 - this is falsification of accounts by the bank itself. Will be good to get some auditors in asap. Poor (at best) practice…..

You can only transfer to your nominated beneficiary. And you can only change your nominated beneficiary on the website not in app. And you can only do 3 changes a month. That's all more hassel than needed

Annoying
There was enough money in my account yet you sent me a text saying my bill would not be paid unless I paid more into my account by 2 pm. Why?

Works fine for everyday UK banking business. But has never worked for us to make foreign payments, eg SEPA transfers to the EU.

One thing that bothers me
When ever I make transfer the app doesn't refresh itself. Even when I pull down on the screen it doesn't always refresh. So I have to log out then back in and that annoys me.

Unreliable
Sometimes it takes hours to transfer money from the savings acc to other accs, the only think the app is created for it is good at doing it, in case ofurgent matter you might just be stuck, trouble app.

Registration - Getting Started
Whether you’re an existing or new Metro Bank customer it’s simple to get started.
- If you’re registered for online and telephone banking, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number, 8 digit security number and your password
- If you’re not registered for either, you’ll need your 12 digit customer number and the details of the card you used most recently or your Magic Word.

Metro Bank’s mobile app is available for Personal customers and also Business customers if they’re using Business Internet Banking only.
Standard data charges from your mobile service provider may apply.
