Parental control lacking key feature
We purchased this product specifically for the parental control features and subscription. Within the view browsing history feature there is no way to open a displayed entry in the log in a web browser or at least copy the URL to view elsewhere. Please fix this simple issue!

Arbitrary steps when setting up your router manually. Why would it make you wait for a progress bar to load on your phone for powering on the router before it's even connecting? It doesn't know it's status. Bad design and bad app overall 😐

after purchase very few updates (now 0) and few options available. No IPv 6, VPN option, traffic monitoring, pay-to-play online security (subscription based), if the app is not working, Internet down or you lose mobile data service there is no way to access your router digitally. It is very basic.

VERY buggy and constantly breaks
This app is pretty much completely useless, I can't really find a feature that works consistently or at all. Device manager either crashes the app completely(does this on two different phones, one android and one iphone), says there are no devices randomly, or just doesn't work at all even when it doesn't do the other two things. For example, it can't a disable devices connection no matter what I have tried, which is one of the more important features of a “device manager”. By far the worst router app I have ever seen in my life because after trying everything, not a single thing I needed from the app even worked one time. Blows my mind that we have so many other apps out there that work fine, but then they release this? Definitely switching routers so I can actually use the app and the features I want on a router I paid good money for.

The router options through the app are to limited
You guys should really have more options in this app for the router. It's annoying that I have to manually login from a pc or mac to modify my router settings but also have a very limiting app? Maybe an advanced mode to keep things clean.

App lags so bad I don't know if the block feature is actually on or off. Very inconsistent. Getting kind of upset at this point that I paid so much for a modem router that gives me control but I have to constantly refresh the app or move in different sections of my location to find other devices that have been blocked or not blocked. Restart my phone and find out that devices I unblocked the night previous and I know they were unblocked because I was watching TV night before are now blocked.

Do not buy this Router. It is not as advertised.
Netgear markets this router as 1GB capable. It is not. Max speed is barely over 200mb. This is with very few devices active. No settings available to modify or adjust channels being used either. Found out limitations after numerous speed tests and web searches confirming limitations for many others and no way to fix it. Netgear support is non-existent as well. Serious waste if a couple hundred dollars. Was a long time user of Netgear until now. Never again.
