IOs 16 or later?
Is that why I cant open the app at all now? Because my phone isn't newer, bigger, more expensive? Listen, I don't have to keep pouring $ into the giant maw of Apple, so I won't. My Iphone 7 works just fine except w/ your newer “improved” app. Thanks for nothing!

Unusable and unfair after update.
To use this app now I need a new iPad capable of iOS 16. That means that my subscription is no longer usable. Of course they tell you that you can use the browser version instead. But does NYT even understand what this means for thousands of app users? Would they all buy a new iPad to keep doing what they were just doing until this “update”?

I have a perfectly fine tablet running Android 7.0 which is no longer supported by recent versions of this app. Now it refuses to display NYT content unless I upgrade the app. 😠 Catch 22

Stopped supporting iOS 15.x
No longer works on my iPad and there was no notification of this change. Cancelling my subscription.

App update isn’t backwards compatible on IPhone
How many subscribers are you going to loose with this update. My older IPhone isn't iOS 16 or higher - roll it back please.

the far left bias of the nyt is disgusting and an abuse of their powerful platform. if u want to be an advocate for the radical left then stop pretending g and portraying that the publication is news. it is not!

Woke up yesterday to find that the NYT apps on my and spouses tablet would no longer load and that the newest app was incompatible with either device! Why did the Times do this? For what purpose? The Times, even in digital form, remains largely a print publication interspersed with still images. The old app worked fine to deliver this content on my devices. This is such typical software developer BS. I just cancelled my subscription and will NEVER renew. Zero customer focus.
