Do not trust this app with your credit card info until they have fixed their shady practices. Recurring billing practices are deceptive and predatory. Not like other apps where you can control recurring payments in the App store. This info is hidden away. No email warns you a few days or even three months ahead of time about upcoming payments, nor is email confirmation sent that a payment has been processed. Be warned!! Also, Excel worked better. Now out $34.99 x 2. Never again.

Fraud
App is very weak and has almost no beneficial functionality unless you plan on following the beaten path. In addition, they promised a free trial which they did not live up to and refused my immediate demand for a refund.

Downloaded the app to do a small road trip. Unfortunately everything is locked behind paywalls even though app ads would cover the cost of the free app. App is now too limiting with only 2 waypoints to a journey I may swell use google maps. Thanks roadtrippers but I'm over the teared subscription service for everything in my life now I'll stick to Google or my map book. 😉

SPAM WARNING Beware that you will be spammed on your email forever after install. I installed their app years ago and still receive their spam junk emails. Their unsubsribe buttons and links are dead and non functional of course and no real way to contact them to kindly ask them to stop this. I'm just reporting them to Google and to the data protection authority and see what happens.

Thieves
Even though I deactivated the auto-renewal, their app re-activated it without my say so, then they charged me $35.99 and refused to refund the money even though i immediately reported the erroneous charge and did not use the app in the meantime.

Awesome app but the price is high to access a past trip.
A few years ago, I paid for the premium version for one year for a [address]trip. The Price was high, but I figured it was worth it for this once in a lifetime trip with my kids. I was going through a bunch of photos from our trip the other day and I wanted to look up our itinerary. Unfortunately, now that I am not a premium member, it is locked and I would have to pay the $60 yearly fee again just to view my past itinerary. It would be nice if the maker made it so you could at least view, without editing, a past trip without having to pay the premium price again or at least let me pay for just one month of premium so I could access my data. This seems to be the new business model for a lot of apps these days unfortunately.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!! The app is not user-friendly and wouldn't save my trip. It would keep resetting, and I would have to start a new trip every time I opened the app. Customer service is awful!! Due to not having phone service ( this happens often when traveling) I was unable to cancel but assumed customer service would be understanding, as most are. I emailed them the second I had service at 9:20am (less than 12 hours after the deadline) and they refuse to refund the $60.

I started using this app/website years ago with a free account. It had enough routing options to make it useful, I would use it every year. It had up to 5 waypoints and could choose alternative routes, view, and save your trips and even choose roundtrip. Now, you only get 3 waypoints under the free account and one way or sacrifice 1 of 3 points to make a roundtrip. Even on my previous trips I've saved over the years, I can not view without paying for an account now. I'm deleting my account.

Double check this app for unidentified road closures
I used this app for the first time on a [address]trip—MA to ID panhandle with a swing through WY & soon to be in the final leg from WY back to North Shore MA. After I got the hang of it I was pretty satisfied with it. One irritation I have is that it does not open to the current date, but starts back at day 1. This requires unnecessary scrolling. The BIG problem, however. Was that it did not pick up a winter road closure in Yellowstone Nat Park, leading me to believe I would be able to take the south entrance to Teton Nat Park. Nope. This failure to note a standard winter road closure cost me the Teton's waypoint. I am one to think perhaps I missed something, so once I had WiFi access again I did a bit of research. Both Google & iPhone maps did not show the south entrance road closure route. Then I thought perhaps it was a timing issue as I had set up the route about 4 weeks in advance of planning to use it May 5 (the road was scheduled to open May 10, as per their published YNP paper that I received at the park entrance). I deleted the waypoint on 5/8 & then re-established it. The app still planned my route using the closed road. Not sure how the glitch happened, but it was a big and specific one. As I'm heading home I find I still want to use the app as a digital notebook of my planned stops, but after I have used the 2-3 apps I have always used for planning my roadtrips. I will be cancelling my Roadtrippers Plus subscription however. No point in paying $50 a year for an app that promises more than it can deliver. I will use the free app and plot my trips in ‘legs' to avoid the date problem mentioned above. My recommendation is to use your preferred GPS map & Allstays for waypoint determinations. I have logged around 60,000 miles in a small camper van since I retired 5 years ago with 1-2, 4-9 week trips per year. I look forward to roadtrip app technology advances; unfortunately they're a bit new and I'm not able to trust at this point.
