How is the overall rating for this app 4.4 stars…
…. when most of the reviews are 1 star?! This app is not unlimited! It appears on the surface to be amazing but after listening to 2 audiobooks (popular titles), almost all of my saved books or really anything even closely related to have the books I just read have disappeared or are now listed as “available soon” which is one month away! There was a huge selection before I read those two books! Totally frustrating!!!! The top ten books on their “top charts” now feature “The picture of Dorian Gray” and “Sense and Sensibility”… both good books but hardly chart toppers these days 🙄. Don't bother replying that you are “sorry” or there are “rotating titles”. This app clearly limits you to only a couple desirable books and then basically locks you out of most other books you're interested in reading until the next month! I suggest to increase the limits on readers or you are going to lose customers!

But they’re sorry…. Update: I canceled
I love reading the responses to the comments here (sarcasm). Everyone is complaining of the same thing — that Scribd / Everand bills itself as “unlimited” reading & listening. It's only after you pay for and actually try to use the service that you discover just how limited “unlimited” really is. But — and this is according to the many responses to customers' comments — at least “they're sorry.” Nothing is changing, but “they're sorry.” 5/9/24 — I've been a subscriber for several years — several hundred dollars worth — but I canceled my subscription today after being kicked off my most recent book (about 20% into the book). Evidently I read too much — but I can read what I want to read in 10 days. I guess I'm expected to pay for a month but only receive 20 days. Hardly “unlimited.” And their response is, “Find something else to read.” Never mind the fact that I'm several books into a series. I want to read the next book. I paid to read the next book. Not any more.

They remove the book while you're reading it, without even giving a heads up. Aparently "Sapiens: a brief history of humankind" will be available again next year... So in like 8 months. Gee, thanks. Can't highlight and take notes on audiobooks since that's not how you're supposed to use them and i'm a visual person. The app is full of other small bugs that I chose to overlook, but this UX issue just can't fly.

Totally unusable at present due to last update. Not even reinstalling has fixed it. Just says this app has a bug wait till next update!

A couple suggestions
I really love this app and use it all the time. Way better than most audiobook apps by far. I just wish you were clearer with what is included in each subscription level - we know it's about rights and how many listeners/how much you can listen per payment cycle- but it needs to be clearer to the user. The user experience of simply not being able to find a book or a title that I KNOW is available, just because it's no longer available to me during that cycle is infuriating and frustrating. Just gray it out or put a banner over it. There's no need for titles to simply ~disappear~ when your licenses are up for the cycle. Please consider changing this. It makes me, and many of my friends who are also users very annoyed and caught off guard that the series we're listening to or reading suddenly is gone. It's totally understandable for titles to become unavailable due to licenses during that cycle, please just make it more clear to the users and keep the titles visible but unplayable. Thanks.

Loved for years but crashes lately
Ive had Scribd /Everand for years. I love it! Unfortunately the app just crashes every few minutes and it's been happening for months! The only way I can keep my audio books going is by going into airplane mode and turning off the WiFi. It's so so unfortunate bc I'd love for it to work so I can stay subscribed.

It's a wonderful app! The readers are clear and at a speed that helps one to understand. My only challenge is that I can't reread a book, once I finish it. Why is this? Can this be corrected?

it would be good app if it didn't drain my phone battery so fast. For an app that runs with screen off this is ridiculous.

I paid for the month. Started the book, and they made it "inaccessible" to me before i could finish the book. The service has gone downhill and no one can give actual answers. Ive cancelled my subscription because they can respond to a Google review but not an email.
