Annual membership
This app is incredibly difficult to remove yourself from the membership that you choose. The application itself doesn't allow you to remove yourself from their services. You must go through a online portal. I've talked to customer service last year to cancel my annual subscription and sure enough I just got charged again. I sent a request through there contact us portal. I feel like this app could provide value, but not for the hassle. Just go on YouTube and learn from someone else.

With so many free resources, why pay for this nonsense?
Skillshare, at face value seems like a good idea and if you, like me, have a strong commitment to lifelong learning, you'll immediately see the appeal. There are classes on there by big names in academia and some really cool topics covered, all of which seem irresistible to one with a penchant for higher learning. Once you get into it, you'll slowly start to realize that while the course content is there, well-organized, and add-free, the quality of the courses are no better than any free resources you can easily find anywhere else on the internet. To make matters worse, after I cancelled my subscription, they continued to charge me. I reached out asking for a refund and they offered me 50% back. Pretty disappointing.

This used to be a really good app, offering great content and experience. The app is annoying to use: try bookmarking classes. The scroll resets each time and you lose your place. Maybe this isn't so bad but makes it difficult to discover course… you're always sent back to the beginning of the horizontal scroll. Searching is annoying to use too. Content is haphazard and definitely not what you're expecting to pay for. The best classes are from the older Skillshare days when content and development actually had effort out forward. It all feels abandoned today. My advice: check other learning platforms… don't play. I paid for years, and thought to try it out again. From dealing with support and the developers responses: I won't be returning. I'd feel sad to see Skillshare tank but it has and it's they're own doing.

App is trash
App will not download content. Tried three different devices and different courses as well. The fact that I pay for premium and can't download on my PC is dumb enough; the fact that I need a mobile app for offline use, which then doesn't work, is pathetic.

Skillshare are unreasonable and doesn't give refunds, and they don't remind of yearly subscriptions. So be careful and cancel a membership, if you're not using it a while.

Scam!!! - I tried the free service and didn't care for it so I canceled the membership right away, or so I thought. When I "canceled" the membership I uninstalled the app and never thought about at again. Well, here we are 6 months later and they've charged me $165!!! It took me 3 tries to finally cancel the membership and I still haven't gotten a confirmation that it's actually been canceled. Save yourself the headache and do NOT be tempted by the free trial. I promise it's not worth it.
