Too Sensitive for Harsh Braking
There are deductions for harsh braking on stretches of driving where I had not even had to apply brakes. I think it would be unsafe to be trying to dodge rough sections of roadways but these apparently register as harsh braking.

Is not accurate. App is using the phone to judge things like hash braking and not the actual car. If a passenger (like my kids) has my phone I get a handling phone mark. I have even had a mark against me sitting in a parking spot making a hands free call. Again because the app is ran through the phone not the actual car so it really does not know.

Keeps saying I'm touching my phone. Actually it says I was handling my phone for 14% of my 1.[address] Total bunk. Didn't touch it once driving.

It seems like it isn't worth doing to me. I drive safely, almost always a bit under the posted speed limit, don't text, once in a great while have my hands free calling on due to me being a doctor n other times have my phone GPS to get me to an unfamiliar location and I get a score of 82??? Really? wow. Like I said this seems like it's gonna try n screw me over big time versus help n acknowledge safe n good driving. Not impressed.

Doesn't work right. Says you used your phone in some fashion when it was in a glove compartment or on your seat or in your purse.

The USAA SafePilot App instructs, inspires and rewards safe driving habits to help keep you safe on the road while lowering your auto insurance premium. Eligible members can receive a discount of up to 10% for enrolling and participating in the program, and earn a premium discount at renewal time for being safe drivers.
