I no longer have access to my accounts because the new version would not be allowed and there would be insufficient storage space. Also, no notice for this change that affects my operations.

Widgets? Why not?
I vastly prefer the Scotiabank mobile app. It has implemented Lock Screen widgets in a thoughtful manner. There are no widgets in the CIBC app rendering it far less useful. And too many annoying pop ups/ads/“offers” requiring extra taps to navigate.

If you have a smaller screen and larger fonts, it's essentially useless for push-to-device because you can't see the code. I could never get the app to work on my Samsung A8 and only after hours on the phone with tech support and a chat with online agents did I manage to diagnose the problem on my own. The mobile app is a poor cousin to a standard software authenticator.

No notification when money is deposite/credited
Please work on this feature. An individual must get an SMS atleast to notify when a credit is made into their chequing and saving account.

The updated app worked great for a while until this week. It keeps asking for cookie preferences. Every time you log in you have to save the preferences. It doesn't remember what you chose. Annoying.

Only limited functionality for non-Canadian customers. I am unable to change my home address or my phone number. I have to do such changes via (international) phone call with dedicated authentification, which takes a lot of time and effort. More generally, sending money is a nightmare, if it is not by Interac eTransfer.

Functional but constant ads and no 2FA
Constant ads on every app open cheapens the experience of CIBC, no authenticator or passkey 2FA makes our accounts far less secure
