It does partly what the commercials is
With my line of work. I literally get gas every other day. I use this app every time I get gas. I have been using this app for over a year. And I still have not reached $200 cash back yet like the commercial states. Every time I hear the commercial, I laugh because you cannot get $200 every other month or every three months for using this. Not even once a year. But besides that it works. I've been using this app since April 13, 2023. I have received $164.20 back. As much as I drive and use gas. Do you think I would've gotten more money back. I always go to the higher cashback gas station.

Takes forever
I've submitted 6 times a receipt and only got paid once and the one time took WEEKS! It's a NO deleting the app

Complicated
I claimed an offer for cash back at a gas station I don't normally go to so I could save about $1/gallon, which sounded great! Several days after that, I got an email saying my cash back was delayed and could take another week. It's supposed to take 3-5 days after the transaction. When I checked the app a few days after that, it said my cash back had expired. I reached out to the support team to get my money, and they ended up crediting me for about $0.25/gallon, which was way less than the offer I claimed. They said it was because they had to do it manually since there was a problem with my receipt upload, but they said I'd be able to use the $0.75/gallon bonus on my next purchase to get a total $1/gallon cash back. However, I don't trust that the same thing won't happen again because when I asked them how to avoid this issue in the future, they gave me a vague response that was basically just instructions on using the app. I'm debating whether to give them another chance the next time I need gas. Also, you're required to have $10 of cash back before you can transfer the money to your bank or redeem a gift card, which is pretty dumb.

Not much use
After moving to a big city, this app has been rather useless. When I check for gas, it gives me gas stations that are minimum of 5 miles away that I could get the offers. Any of the stations close say the have no available offers left. I have been seeing ads for upside saying that Taco Bell is one of the restaurants that you can get cash back at - NO ITS NOT. I tried searching for it and it goes to all sorts of other places again several miles away. Before moving, I had $12+ racked up but since I had to re-download it, it shows the $12+ in my “life time earnings” but the amount shows $0 on my app. This app is so far a big joke. Haven't tried for groceries yet as I can't afford the one actual grocery store listed for my area, and others that pop up under the grocery tab are convenience stores.

Upside
I have used upside for a while once I hit $75. It stopped giving me my cashback on all my gas so I uninstalled it reinstalled it and it has been a while and it will show since 2023. They still have not received any of my cashback and all the gas that I bought through my debit card for me and my husband, so I am uninstalling this again because this is a joke
