app often doesn't start, and in addition, you just get advertising in your account statement!! serious advertising??? This is a bank where my money is!! There should be no advertisements or so-called 'tips' here, very annoying. Hope this is not or less at other banks, I'm going to shop 'bank'.

New vpay card not adding to Apple Pay
Despite repeated phone calls to customer service, no one from ING wants to acknowledge that the new bank cards with the VPay logo cannot be added to Apple Pay. Even after sending screenshots! You literally go through all the steps from booting up phone, uninstalling and reinstalling app, removing all cards from Apple Pay to re-adding and they are convinced that this succeeds but VPay cards are NOT addable for both me and my husband.

Spam messages make it increasingly unusable
Spam about phishing several times every day. Now even for logging in and not clicking away. Ridiculous!

Edit: reinstalling worked to get the previous version, but in version 2024.09.01 the app crashes when trying to transfer money to/from the savings account. Used to be a good app, but last 2 updates have had flaws. In version 2024.10.01 i cant even log in without it crashing

Yes, your banking is done via a secured connection. No personal details are stored on your phone or tablet. If you always use the latest version of the app, you enjoy optimal security and the latest features.

Activation only takes a moment
You don’t need much to activate the app. Just a Dutch current account at ING, access to My ING and a valid identity document. This can be a passport, an ID card from the EU, an ID card for foreign nationals, a Dutch residence permit or a driver’s license.
