Love the app. Just too many fees now
I've been using this app for years to make purchases. They have too many fees now. They have service fees and payment processing fees now that don't give you much of a deal. I was buying something for $60. With all the fees added it ended up being $109. That's insane to me.

New hidden fees
I have used Mercari for YEARS. Recently they “took away” selling fees but really they just added new fees elsewhere to replace that. Now whenever you buy something an extra 5$ of fees is slapped on . Not to mention when you do sell something you now have to pay 2-3$ to even receive your funds . These new fees are extremely frustrating. Mercari used to be affordable and now I haven't been buying anything bc of these new service fees.

Processing per and service
Takes so long before they refund me, every day I send message to this folks everyday has different people reply my message, but none of them do their job.

No one is buying anything.
The new selling fee policy, which just makes the buyer pay multiple fees, is really affecting both the buyer and seller. I haven't been able to sell anything, as my buyers are complaining that the their fees are too expensive. I would rather pay a selling fee and have people buy my stuff than have no selling fee and no buyers. Might just switch to eBay or Facebook at this point.

Sudden account deleted
Normally I do not write reviews at all but I'm already at my limit. Mercari was one of my favorite seller apps and a fantastic way to get rid of stuff I no longer wanted in my possession. My account was “limited and was seeking closure.” But not even a second later my entire account was deleted. I've been trying to reach customer service about getting my account re-activated because I did nothing wrong and I flat out got sent immediately to the billing department with no further action. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated as a seller because of this.

Used to love it
Used to love this app. Then they made some sweeping changes to it and added a Bunch of fees for buyers that are variable and not shown till checkout. And even with all the new fees the customer service is non-existent if you have an issue.

I used to love it, but they changed the fee structures
In March Mercari started advertising that there were no more seller fees, but all they did was transfer that cost to buyers for items posted after a certain date. Now whenever I try to buy something, it always ends up costing surprisingly more because of the ~3% in fees added to every purchase. This makes it especially tricky to make offers or ask sellers to bundle when you don't know till checkout whether the seller or the buyer will be assessed the extra fees. I'm going to delete this app because as much as I have loved shopping for clothing on here, it's no longer worth it. Time to hit up some of my favorite brick and mortar thrifts. Also, the for you page really went downhill. Now it's just a bunch of categories sorted by hashtags that are so off-target. I loved it when it was just a feed of things.

Only been with this app a week as a seller. Everything is great except I've got banned indefinitely for selling what I see hundreds of others sellers are selling. Really? Banned indefinitely?

Careful w shipping charges
Been using the app for a while, use to be good but been noticing extra charges for not have the right weight. Shipped something out and paid extra at Usps already but got charge again by Mercari. So that means Mercari charges by weight of item not by what post office actually charges. Be aware, When buying item, there's service fee and process fee, taxes, shipping… a lot of the item even after good price became original price. Back to Facebook market for good deals !! 😂😂
