Unfortunately, for weeks now the message "We have technical problems". Very good app when it works.

Message with "technical problems" at every attempt to observe... It has been unusable for a week now

It's a pity, I've been using the app swhr with pleasure, but recently I always get the error message that there are technical problems. An evaluation no longer takes place. Thus, the app has become useless for me and my Samsung S23ultra. I'm really sad about it... :"(

This app used to be great, now it can't hear any songs/calls very well

I really enjoy using the app. Unfortunately, the audio recordings have been disturbed for some time. It seems as if the microphone is broken during quiet passages. The background is not noise, but it is rendered as a crashing sound. I'm using a Samsung S10+ with Android 11. The problem wasn't there before, but only occurred later, possibly after an Android update. The problem also exists on other devices, such as another S10.

Finds a lot of bird calls. I would be happy if you don't have to delete all bird identifications individually in "Observations", but can also click on individual ones by ticking or delete them all altogether.

Super cool! But lacking some useful features
This app is awesome and tons of fun to use when out exploring nature. One feature I would really like to see is the ability to analyze/isolate certain frequencies on the spectrogram. This would be super helpful to remove background noise or target specific birds when multiple are singing at the same time.

It doesn't work

Used to be an amazingly useful app but I'm not sure why it's now utterly useless. Fails to identify even common birds at close range with no ambient noise. Very disappointing. Unless it's updated to work better again, I don't recommend.
BirdNET - Product Description
How can computers learn to recognize birds from sounds? The BirdNET research project uses artificial intelligence and neural networks to train computers to identify nearly 3,000 of the most common species of North America and Europe. You can record a file using the internal microphone of your iOS device and see if BirdNET correctly identifies the probable bird species present in your recording. Get to know the birds around you and help us to collect observations by submitting your recordings.

BirdNET is a joint project of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Chemnitz University of Technology.
