Citi Bike - Latest Quality Issues

Atrocious customer service. They takes years to get back to you and not able to provide any actionable measures or suggestions. Buyer beware.

When the server goes down there is absolutely nothing you can do to access bikes. What the hell am I paying for if I can't get a bike when I need one.

Too many updates. Almost everytime I try to use the app, needs a new update before I'm allowed to use it.

App updates not for the better
Once Lyft took over the app, I began finding it to be too busy. I'm using the app to ride Citi Bike, and would rather do without all the train and car information. And I miss the profile screen from earlier versions of the app that tallied your mileage—seeing my total miles at a glance felt like a nice accomplishment, now it's just my ride history in list form.

Terrible customer service and monopoly
I used to use citi bike often. Once, I faced an issue with docking a bike and immediately reported the issue on the app. I was charged an insane amount of rent because the ride wasn't ending due to technical difficulties. Even though I provided good proof with the time and location of me trying to dock the bike, Lyft charged me with an additional lost bike fee. With all the money I paid, I could easily have bought an excellent bike. I don't think I'll ever use citi bike again

Citibike is great. The Lyft app is Not.
Citibike is the best thing that's happened to NYC. The service is great and it just keeps getting better. The ebikes are an especially wonderful upgrade. However the new app from Lyft is not. It suffers from terrible latency. It is very clear that the product managers and designers responsible for this app have never observed actual citibike users using their product. This is unacceptable. Your users deserve more.

Gone downhill since Lyft
It's been a steady decline since Lyft took control, and gets worse everyday. One of the more annoying things about the app is, every time there's an update, suddenly your bike key won't work until you update the app. Bikes aren't moved around/refilled like they used to. As we get back to “normal” it's just been terrible.

Poor network connex
Returning member and it seems the app is hung up on “poor network connection.” It works fine if I'm on a wireless network but if I'm on the street or off the LTE network I can't get in the app or get a bike. Oof. It's 2021.

Interface is unusable
Unable to read map on interface. A worse update compared to previous version. App prompts you to rate your ride after EVERY SINGLE ride is very inconvenient. Bike angel point interface is unreadable.
