It keeps crashing

I have never been more frustrated with an app in my life. The website app.equity.co was terrible too. None of the help articles I tried using pointed me to how to really claim emergency funds. The chat not was of zero help and when I finally got to a real person to talk to she never wrote back. Aaargh, so frustrated!

The process was seamless! I applied and it took about 2-3 business days for my application to process. Once I was approved I was able to claim the funds and they were deposited into my bank the same day! Thank you, WGU!

Potato Quality
They must run their servers on literal potatoes - the app takes forever to load, and often you will have to try multiple times to get to anywhere useful. It took multiple attempts to sign up, and I assumed you would get a welcome email of some sort, but a few hours in and still nothing. Super frustrating to use, especially when I know my connection is not the issue (I tried at home and at work, on the WiFi and with my mobile data). Wouldn't use if I wasn't forced to by my school. The potatoes would be better off mashed or fried, instead of running whatever spaghetti code the basement developer cooked up for this app. It technically does the absolute bare minimum, so 2 stars I guess.

No back button
I can't even properly navigate the app because when I click on a page it won't let me return to the previous one. Completely useless. And when I try to chat with the online help, you have to download a voice recording app to respond and it won't let you type a response. Then when I say no, I don't want to download another app, I can't even return to the previous page to chat. 🙄

Awful application
Want to link your bank account? “An error occurred”. Want to get support? The chat function doesn't work. Clearly this was released before it was finished and we are participating in beta testing.

Great concept, lack of communication
After receiving an email from my school about being able to apply for the aid, I did so. I recently checked in on the app to see if there was any update and it said that the deadline to claim funds had passed. I didn't even know I was approved, so it was a huge bummer to see I missed out. I recommend sending an email to confirm to the applicants if they were approved.

Got money the same day, App could use work
I logged in multiple times for my application. I tried on my phone with wifi and with data and was unsuccessful in completing it. Tried again on my computer and everything went through. I was approved within 48 hours. Once I had to link my bank account I had trouble on the app as well. Kept trying and completed the acceptance part. Then the funds were in my account by EOD. Got emergency funding I really needed and had no idea existed beyond financial aid. Really grateful for wherever this money is coming from. It's not everyday this happens. Happy to say I can stay enrolled in school. Wish I could send a personal thank you letter.
