Current App Issues as of April 2024
The app is out of sync with real time. I verified that the app is currently updated and it still does not work. The app stopped showing current activity and keeps saying my door is unlocked. I had to rush hm and find that it wasn't true. FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP

I've had problems with this app since day 1 of moving into my apartment. I like the lock/unlock feature. But it always flips to locked to unlocked. Please fix.

thermostat doesn't work
my apartment complex switched over to SmartRent so i didn't really have a choice. so far i've noticed that the thermostat controls don't work half the time, not just on the app but on the wall thermostat as well. i can change it to heat and up the temp and it just doesn't kick on, very frustrating when you wake up at 5 am freezing and the heat won't turn on. the lock on the front door has also jammed a few times in the couple months we've been using SmartRent but at least the app tells you when the door is jammed. there is no warning about the thermostat not working, been waiting 20 minutes so far for the heat to kick on and still nothing.

Forced upon us, keys taken away
Our apartment forced this migration and took away our keys. Now we have to fish out our phones, unlock them, find the app, launch it, and chose the front door “unlock” instead of just inserting a key and turning it. Cell reception is horrible at our building so the result will be spotty. No watch app!? No way to unlock the door by Siri commands? No backup power system on the lock? No response to CCPA privacy requests? Boo.
