Trash..they will overcharge ya acct..double charge u for trips and lock the car on you...if u don't pay that second fee...Hate them now and I use to get these cars all the time yrs ago...when they were waaay better .not to mention how customer service reps(Max) will hang up on u and then u gotta start the phone process over..Not to mention all the reps I spoke to weren't even in the United states.🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️ Go with turo, or another car rental .DON'T TRUST this service at all

Good when it works. Frustrating when there's a problem. I've been zipping since 2012? Some time ago, their call center moved overseas, now talking to their reps is frustrating: the call quality isn't great, the reps don't understand American street and highway names, and the reps don't understand the car names when you say them. As others write, reservations may change without notice, and they don't have a good method for transferring your reservation if the car is broken before you arrive.

Zipcar auto charged me after the trial period. They charged me for three months with zero rides used in total. When I asked for a refund they only gave me a refund for the last month. Predatory pricing at its finest! Great work, Zipcar!!

Wrongly charged me for cleaning fee and did not resolve my ticket (I submitted evidence) despite promising 2 times that a refund would be issued "tonight". I was a user for 2 yrs but you should beware because one day they could also give you a surprise $50 bill and refuse to resolve the problem timely

Terrible User Experience
Coming from Portugal, I was able to book a car in London using my account. After the booking was made I then tried to update the app on my phone to access the vehicle and the app is no longer available on the Portuguese App Store. This meant that I had to cancel my booking because there was no way for me to access my car without the app and yet there was a way to book the car using the website.

Stuck in the middle of the street
So I rented a Kia Soul and everything was going good until late in the evening when I stopped at a red light and when I tried to drive it wouldn't move. So here I am stuck in the middle of the road and blocking traffic, so frustrating! I put it in park and then back into drive and the darn thing started rolling backwards smh I had to use the emergency break cause the break petal wouldn't budge, thank goodness I didn't hit the person behind me. Luckily a nice guy was driving by helped push me into the gas station lot that was right there. This experience has made me nervous about renting another vehicle from this app.

Customer service can’t be worse
I got the app and paid for the application fee + the monthly membership cost totaling around $37. I then tried to rent a car and it would give me an error at the checkout. I tried choosing different cars too. The payment for all tge fees went through just fine, so it definitely want my card, however I still tried 2 other cards and it still wouldn't work. After spanking AN HOUR on this app and web (tried both to make sure the bug is on both platforms) it was already too late for me to go to a car rental as they were closed by then. If I didn't start the process with this Zipcar I'd make it. It's very frustrating, I almost had the trip rescheduled with 3 people depending on me, the support team replied to my request and said “we don't refund application fees”. Give me my $25 that's absurd. I paid you for what? For canceling the trip and loosing an hour of my life?
