Terrible app
So I've had my Afterpay account for well over a year now with a current approved spending limit of $600. Over the course of a year, I've tried to use Afterpay at checkout with over 10 merchants for amounts under $300 which is less than half of my spending limit, and every single time I get an error message saying “Afterpay did not approve my purchase.” This happens at every merchant I attempt to purchase from no matter the amount. I have spoken to more than 30 people in person and on Reddit that have the exact same problem. Every time I notify Afterpay about it, they give me an unprofessional run around. Sometimes they say that Afterpay chooses to not approve certain purchases even though they have approved you with a set spending limit. Makes no sense right? Yeah, tell me about it. Then sometimes they say it's my payment method which is not true because my bank has confirmed over and over again that there was not even an attempt to charge my card by Afterpay which make its clear that this issue is stemming from the Afterpay platform and that only. Don't waste your time with this silly app. Use Sezzle or zip pay. Afterpay is a complete joke and a garbage app.

They were great but just after 2 purchases the decline with some 'flimpsy' excuses. They also take out some great stores and I don't know how they are doing their things!!

Afterpay Card
Very frustrated. I've had the Afterpay card for a while and used it at previous merchants, however it no longer works. I've contacted help center and they just said to make sure I'm using the newest version, which I am however issue persists.

Very limited stores
You won't be allowed to shop at any store you want to.. No major chain retailers, grocery stores, convience stores, gas stations are allowed.. They told be i was approved for $100 and then a virtual debit card was attached to my apple wallet... 1 hour later, afterpay leaves me standing at the checkout counter embarrassed because they kept declining a $65 purchase .. You can only use the money where they want you to.. Go to he ll afterpay

Bad Communication Waste of Time
You'll get approved for a purchasing power however your limited to where you can use it , if you are able to . I was approved spending power and denied each time I attempted to use it . When I tried contacting Customer Service they never responded so I attempted two more chats and still no reply . This was a couple of days ago . There communication is not good and your spending power isn't guaranteed just because you been approved. Your balance will sit there and you'll just be denied all transactions with no reasoning or what you could spend it on . Virtual card was not available either . Avoid this app

After about a month the app started acting up.
The app began to give error messages in every store I began chatting with Jennifer and we spoke on the phone she told me delete the app and redownload it then try I did this went on another week the best advice I got from her was to just keep trying (20 times later)then she began calling me several days in a row but she gets off a 5 sharp but always calls me pretty late in the day close to 5 so the issues have not changed she said she would call today but that did not happen. Jennifer agreed that I've paid on time or early so that's not that problem. Now I'm stuck with the Bot and even the Bot stopped responding. So looking back I see that I'm not important to the team at after pay I owe them $73 and I think that ship has sailed so I'll pay them and move on. This team has done nothing th fix their app and the team just ignores what the can't fix. Unfortunately.

Whoever is running this app is weird
They will run a soft credit on your credit report, if you owe them for a short period of time after paying them off they will stop giving you credit on your account . I've tried to delete the account they refused to let me do it. Afterpay I don't have no business to have an account with y'all please delete my account. Thank you. Bunch of weirdos running this app

Afterpay lies about hardships
They lie they won't work with when you're in a hardship. I was one day late and my account was reduced by $2100. Reginaldo emailed and said my previous good payment history with multiple orders into the thousands doesn't matter. What incentive does a person have to stay when the company isn't loyal to the customers base
