The free version is at best useless, and borderline dangerous. Apart from multiple crashes making me have to reopen and navigate to the trail over and over again, if you use its free version, as soon as your internet connection drops, the app will immediately lock you out of the map showing a message saying that you're offline, even though part of the map is obviously already cached in your device. When in a trail, phone signal is at best spotty, so you can't rely on the app at all.

I can not uninstall this ap from my samsung watch. This ap will not let me check off my watch, just my cell phone.

Why download the map, if you can't use ofline, keep asking for a network to use the downloaded map, what's the direction, and when you turn off the cel screen, the map goes on there to open it again, you need a network and in the middle of the nd there is no way to use the upa, the application is useless...

The app stops tracking your browsing after a certain amount of time. The status of the application must be constantly checked.

Why do I have to give you my information just to look at maps?? I'm tired of being farmed!! Also, most of its features are locked behind a paywall. You can't even download a map to use when you inevitably lose service on your hike.

I thought $40 for an app would get me a quality app. But from the beginning I am pestered by pop up notifications to share my location. The app has full access to the GPS, and it tracks my movement fine. The app is not intuitive at all. I have to look around to find things. And the last two hikes I did just disappeared from my list. Unacceptable. Regret they I don't cancel my subscription in time.

Alltrails is an awesome guide to local trails, especially when you're on vacation and are unfamiliar with the area. The commenters are often very knowledgeable and have been reliable for finding parking for some of the hard to find trails that I've encountered in the past. if I had one complaint, it's that it sends too many notifications.
