Stopped working
Worked fine for a couple of years then all of a sudden stopped working. Tried reinstalling but same issue. Cannot turn the heating on manually. Can do it via Alexa, Siri and the iPhone home app but can't with the actual hive app. Bizarre. No help either as can't get though to hive help online.

This app is a great idea. It's just a pity it doesn't work properly. I want to see a graphical display of temperature and heat pump use , both of which it is supposed to provide. However, it only updates these graphs about twice a day, so it's useless for trying to see what is happening in real time. The temperature data is there at the thermostat, so why doesn't it use it?

We had to purchase the new version of Hive as our current model was being discontinued and would cease to work on a specific date in August last year. There was nothing wrong with that model and it was working perfectly. However the new model is not nearly as reliable with the inputted schedule regularly not working , not changing temperature as required and continually buffering so not able to access information. We feel we were forced to pay for a much inferior system.

Somehow turned a decent app into useless
Have had the hive system for many years without a problem, just recently the boiler turns off every cycle with me having to turn the receiver off and on to reboot the system! Not very practical

App leaves heating on all day even if you turn it off
The app doesn't refresh/push properly, so you can turn the heating off via the app, but it doesn't send the signal to actually turn it off. So it leaves your heating on all day, but tells you it is off. You have to force close and re-open the app every time you want to do anything. It frequently shows a different temperature reading from what the thermostat says. Rubbish app, costing me a lot of money in heating bills. UPDATE: they updated the app and now it just doesn't function at all. Just a spinning loading wheel forever.

Password issues
Since last 3 days, I am unable to log into via my app. Has to reset my password, then worked one time. Then the same new password doesn't work. Something is wrong with the App- pls look into it asap

App needed a UX designer
It feels pretty hobbled together by low experienced devs, for instance I am trying to remove a device so I can re-add it but I am stuck in a loop with the app thinking the device is just offline and not factory reset, a simple hold action with a drop down of remove would be fantastic

Awful
Absolutely awful, can't do the most basic scheduling, has wasted loads of my time and money whilst my boiler goes full blast when no one's even in the home. Avoid
