Komoot: Cycling, Walking, MTB - Latest Quality Issues
Android

I've used the app for a couple of years and it was good at first, but seems to have issues. I struggle to connect my watch which means I'm constantly looking at my phone for directions. Not for the first time it's lost the planned route half way through navigating it. Frustrating when you're recording a hike taking photo's. Sadly it's dropped from 5 stars to 2 as I just don't trust it anymore. It's good for planning purposes but I download the gpx file and use a different app to navigate.

Navigation is so bad. Not even tells you the road name. And it's alover not accurate

Really?
60 euros a year for a usable insurance package and a few nice extras was not cheap, but justifiable. And now, in all seriousness, you're asking for the same price without insurance for a few extra cards and other nice extras???? Gosh, that's what I call greed for profit in the highest degree. There is nothing wrong with an extended Komoot version for a few euros, because the development costs money. On the other hand, not much has really happened in recent years. The navigation is still gripping and in foreign areas it is advisable to take a closer look at the planned route via Google Maps, because often the path suddenly led along a main road without a cycle path. Changing the route manually is a torture. Then the so-called expert and pioneer system is a joke, since very few pioneers actually hang around in the area and dizzy themselves by simply massliking other routes. For example, I am an expert in cycling in all kinds of areas where I may have cycled by chance. On the other hand, it should be mentioned that every now and then komoot finds ways that are not recognizable as such.

Was very satisfied but the recent changes are not progress in my view. Makes the map less clear. Walks over 25 are suddenly much fewer than before? Does searching give almost continuous max 28km? And my own public walks aren't even listed?

The new search is terrible
You could always search within a certain radius. Why all of a sudden so cumbersome and every sorting? Please change the search again!

Actually top
Actually a great app, but the difference between the individual categories is not quite clear, for example what is meant by running and whereas running is the difference between running and hiking. Ask for improvement

The app itself works nicely. I bought the premium package because of the insurance feature. Now I found out through a friend Komoot has cancelled this service. No personal information about this sent by mail... Silently the Premium subscription is extended with the same price / costs... Smells like deception. Just ended my 'Premium' account. The response from Komoot on my review isn't a answer on the actual problem: silently changing things without informing members... :0(

Navigation has gotten significantly worse
It's a pity, Komoot used to be great, but the navigation has become really bad. Especially when you choose MTB, paths are often suggested that are not (maybe they used to be). Sometimes you are also sent through private paths, which are often even cordoned off. Extremely annoying. It's also annoying that you're asked umpteen times when you quit if you really want to quit... It would be nice if, for example, you could only choose a mountain bike tour (e.g. S0 paths, or gradients over 18% or similar.

Very good but expensive
