Can't make much progress without paying but the app itself is very helpful if you do decide to pay.

Mixed bag
Although I really like the idea of this app and purchased the full version, there are tons of grammar mistakes in the English translations of the Japanese and in the Japanese itself. I've reached out to report things and had no response. For example, the superscript for 昨日should be きのう. However in N4 Chapter 2, exercise 2, it's written as きに. On top of that, example sentences are overly complex at the lower levels. With all these errors, I can't recommend the app.

Introductory lessons were good until the paywall, but I paid up anyway. In learning the actual grammar, I'm coming across too much vocabulary that I havent learned in prior lessons, and it isn't clear if they'll be introduced in future lessons, or if I'm expected to learn the vocabulary on the odd example. I just don't understand why grammar lessons can't incorporate vocabulary the app has taught. I learned various country vocabulary, then end up with completely new words in unrelated lessons.

Maybe it's a nice app deep down, but lack of Dark Mode basically makes it completely useless to me. It is more useful as a flashlight tho! Edit: Awesome, finally was able to turn my flashlight off!

Expensive
I bought the monthly subscription without the annual plan and apparently even then you can't access all of the materials on the app. It's just ridiculous, I was planning on buying monthly but I won't be paying for this app again.

I installed it because you wrote there is an offline mode. The app requires to connect... Or maybe I missed something? Uninstalled until it's been fixed.

If you pay the 30 bucks to have everything, just know they will continue to add NEW stuff that will require you to pay even more. Duolingo gives you much more for free. This is deceptive and cannot be trusted. Nothing but a cash sink with little value.

It was a good app and everything but after the first 3 lessons (the first three rows of the alphabet I couldn't do anything else without paying and it's soo expensive. I'm sorry but I'm deleting it
