Good app but too difficult for beginners
At first it seemed like a really great app, i love the explanations of grammar and the lections (level 1). im studying japanese now like 1,5 years unfortunately when you go to the next level you need to write complete sentences in hiragana or katakana, which takes like minimum half an hour for a complete small sentence. i can read the alphabets and also write them on paper, but this language keyboard and to find the individual characters is way to much and too difficult. i stopped using the app because it takes to much time and im losong motivation as i keep repeating the lections that i‘ve already done, but couldn't finish due to the 2 or 3 self writing exercises. it is really frustrating, and its no learning effect. i would suggest to be able to finish a lection without the writing part or instead of self writing you can click on word boxes and complete a sentence through this, could you please change this?

new update
i was doing great with my japanese and was almost finished, then i decided to upgrade because i noticed that i havent in a while. i went back to see that i couldnt access the last course i needed. only the first four were unlocked. 😕

Great but one thing…
I've been studying Japanese for a while now, and I've just recently started using Bunpo again. I've used it in the past so I had some good progress made on the app. Upon returning to the app I tried to reset my progress to 0 so I could blaze through all the stuff I learned, except it turns out the reset feature is only available on Android devices. If the IOS version had a reset option in the settings menu then I'd give 5 stars.

Pretty sure i purchased this with a one-time fee and now it wants me to do a subscription service. I'm sick of subscriptions for everything...

The new update has definitely improved the app a lot. With just remaining drawbacks 1. No offline support 2. The app still hangs when playing phonetic audio

Is it me or did you guys paywall some of the lessons? I understand paywalling the practice but actual lessons?! It's a shame because I had enjoyed this app so far. I'd rather you implement ads than lock entire lessons behind a paywall.

Apparently, the lifetime option as a one-time-payment has been removed. Now there are only subscriptions. Otherwise a good app for learning, but for me not interesting any longer. Will uninstall.

App is amazing, but full version is overpriced, if it was 20 instead of 40 I'd definitely buy it
