This app is not fit for purpose
Please see how efficiently some of the US based airlines apps work. You can even track your check in bags. The BA app is clunky, one part does not talk to the other, it does not store my bookings - I have to retrieve them manually etc etc. Please benchmark yourselves against competitors and you'll see how far back BA is.

The worst
When it didn't work to check in online (multiple tries with different browsers during 24h) it finally worked after several tries through the app. I had to put in a lot of info tapping on my phone and some I had already registered in my profile. Worst check-in experience of my 500+ international flights. And it's still not all cleared. Just taking a break writing this review relieving some stress :D

Horrible
I've spent hours trying to navigate between app and website. I repeatedly get emails and texts saying to upload my Covid documents which I have done multiple times. I use the tracking number for Covid documents and it says verified go and check in. When I check in it says not verified go add them. At this point I'd rather cut off my own fingers than use British Airways. I'm using the app and it suddenly takes me to their website where I get a pop up that says “open the app”. I was in the app. At this point the experience is a never ending circle of madness. I've finally checked in for 1 leg of the flight and the stupid app still tells me I can't check in and I have to wait another 3.5 hrs to check in for second leg of flight. All the other airlines let you check in for all legs.

Rubbish seat
I waited until check in was open in order to choose a seat. I was allocated a rubbish seat - middle seat in Second last row but all other available seats were chargeable. What a rubbish, greedy airline!

It says again and again that there are updates but despite reinstallation nothing works. I can't view bookings and my details can't be found on bookings. Was once great the app. Unfortunately not anymore.

Poor app/website
Hard to find things. Print boarding pass doesn't work on iPhone. I would usually just use Apple wallet but I don't trust BA to make it work after all the difficulties I've had. Easyjet can get this right, pay more get less with BA.

App won't show both boarding passes. When you checkin one passenger, it then logs you out and you have to log on again. Also, app is slow. Finally, app said we had departed on time, yet we sat on the runway for 50 minutes. Departed status means for me, in the air, not sat on the runway. Pretty much on par for everything you'd expect of BA.
