Almost perfect
The app is indeed impressive, much like everything Albert Heijn does. However, the absence of an English language option is a significant flaw, especially in the Netherlands, where more than 10% of the population are expats/immigrants/refugees or whatever you want to call it. Adding an English option shouldn't be too challenging and would greatly enhance accessibility and customer satisfaction. Is there any plans to fix this issue?

Handy app, but unfortunately the bonus box is not correct. When something is offered, it is not on the shelves. Happens too often.

There are plenty of good points about the app, unfortunately there is one feature that I get frustrated with every time because it is an infringement on my personal setting of my phone. The app stays on and keeps the phone from sleep mode once it's in self-scan, even after checkout at the self-scan checkout. This is the only app I have where I have to do three things at the same time in two different places, pay at the checkout, pack groceries and close the app. And often there are four more: giving my partner attention. Since I don't do that every day, dividing my attention over four actions at the same time, shutting down is not automatic. So my phone stays active and the screen is on and I often only find out at home that the phone has been running pointlessly consuming battery. I think the app should be allowed to close itself after the payment barcode has been scanned and the message is displayed: follow the instructions on the payment terminal. There is no need for the app to keep the phone active. Certainly not if I opt for receipt.
