Gaia GPS Hiking, Offroad Maps - Latest Quality Issues

Great app. Difficult to find items
Not intuitive, difficult to find and store , needs improvement. The app itself of course I great. And I'd give it 4 or even 5 stars once the use gets easier to navigate

Worst. Update. Ever!
I promised myself years ago I'd never update an app unless forced to for some ungodly reason. I violated that rule yesterday with Giai and now I remember why I implemented the rule. The app is now useless. Impossible to explain unless you have it but for starters you can no longer easily and quickly modify layers and overlays. Have to jump through a bunch of complicated menus. A step backwards in an app always signals its impending demise. Also, syncing across devices no longer works. Signing in is now a huge PITA. Still crashing constantly on Apple devices as of 05/18/23.

So buggy
Downloads literally show downloading forever. I'm going on like two years with downloaded maps showing that they're downloading.

Sync Incomplete
The app will not sync with shared folders. I've tried every suggestion in Gaia forums, but nothing helps. Why are we paying for this app?

I have used this for years even after years of data was lost (No auto sync? What?). But the last year layers don't works right, maps don't load even on wifi. Time to switch.

Going down
As someone who has used Gaia since 2012 this GPS app at one time was in a class of its own, it had no equal… not even close Then they were bought out a year and a half ago Since then they have gone down hill fast The customer support stinks and non existent in fact it's horrible, I've lost over 8000 miles of tracks That just disappeared. I miss the ole Gaia gps This app doesn't even deserve 1 star, 0 would be appropriate Save your money

Junk
Biggest waste of money I ever made….. trying to plan a motorcycle trip and this thing has got me to the point of throwing my iPad. I have spent days trying to figure this out and it keeps keeps trying to download maps I previously loaded every time I open it up which took me hours to do….. trying to map out a route is impossible… it keeps running me off the road and in circles……. Would be nice to have step by step instructions instead of just enough info to piss you off….. who has time to spend more time figuring out how to use this. I am sticking with paper maps rather than continue to use this app.

Maps and Waypoints no longer sync
No existent support for 2 weeks. My maps and waypoints no longer sync. Google ‘GAIA sync issue' and you'll see I'm one of many people who've had the issue for years, without any solution being offered. You've been warned.

Unintuitive, Lousy Apple Watch integration
Maps work fine on the phone, if you want to be looking at your phone the whole hike. There are not words for how clunky, lame, and unintuitive the watch app is- I just want to be able to see the trail on my watch. I don't want to convert routes, don't want to import gpx, just make it easy guys. In the meantime, will look for a refund through Apple.
