A lot of hear say gossip
Athletic turning into tabloid newspapers. Not a lot facts but more eye catching titles and a lot of gossip. Disappointing

Used to be able to expand and zoom images, why take that away? Now I can't read text properly on your analytical posts. Fix that and I'll amend the rating to 5 stars

The journalism is solid and I was a happy paying customer for years .... Until they started to put ads everywhere. I'm paying for it and I'm still getting my reading experience tainted with large ads.

New to it so not final judgement- but…
Love the articles- all sports well covered- not just NFL. My one issue is the stats page on NHL. Doesn't fit width-wise on my iphone so it abbreviates both sides- ie. The player's name on the left side and the date columns on the right. This requires scrolling left to right to see the entire stat line. My Yahoo Sports app no such issue…

Difficult to reach a non robot
Whenever there's a problem with billing, etc. communicating past the robotic ‘wall' that The Athletic presents is frustrating & time consuming.

I have a lot of trouble with the podcasts. Downloads do not complete and the atheltic app will crash if I am trying to listen to a podcast and do something else
