Good app, but prefers to sell
The app helps to record the different wine preferences and gives tips for wines that you might like. Therefore, very useful. The ongoing offering of wines is disturbing. The app is free, so it's logical that you want to make money. Hence a star deduction.

Great start, sad end
I've been using this app for 10 years and I have her and her community to thank for some great discoveries. At that time, the app was a good wine scanner with a strong and apt networking, thank you Vivino! Unfortunately, the quality is steadily decreasing, especially since the creation of the premium subscription: the hit rate of the scans has become extremely poor. Even wines that have been cultivated by hand are no longer recognized. Many wines appear multiple times and are no longer combined. I haven't been able to notice the frequently criticized advertising yet - maybe that will come, then there will only be one more point.

Update: Not sure what happened, but the application became slow and barely can recognize any wines now. Earlier: A very handy and easy to use app, and a lot to learn. After you rate a couple of wines, it'll learn your taste very well and becomes even more helpful. It is interesting to see others' and my taste profile as well. It helps with prices and wine availability per region, to discover new wines and maybe to learn a bit about them too.

Terrible customer support
I have been ordering from Vivino for some time and generally service has been reliable. This time write after putting in the order I realized the delivery address was incorrect and tried to change it but could not. Customer service instructions did not work. A email request for help from customer service was not replied to till 5 days later. Several phone calls later I was told nothing could be done and that the delivery would be attempted three times and if nobody was there it would be returned to sender. There was apparently nothing that could be done. That is just terrible support and a remarkable waste of resources, aside from poor service. Very disappointed and will just get my wine elsewhere

I spent 6 years feeding the app with sincere evaluation more than 1250 wines. In gratitude, Vivino made the label scan too time-consuming and removed the ability to choose the date of exclusion of wine from the cellar. Why? To force payment for the Premium subscription. Lesson: Never do anything for free.

Moved from one country to another. And immediately all the wines became unsuitable. Doesn't take into account the compatibility of wines, even if you bet 5*

Apr2024: Every update gets worse and more frustrating. It now takes 4 counterintuitive selections to search your own library. More useless pop ups and add suggestions. I'm fed up and with almost 500 wines in my library I'm now ready to call it quits.
