Great app for looking up trains but it doesn't have the capability to book a trip in my experience. All I get is "processing" but it doesn't. It's hard to believe an app could be so bad . It's actually way easier and faster to call an agent on a phone

Does not show available dates for trips. You basically put in a date and if its not available it does not show you the option for days it does run. If it does have this option it's not very accessible

I tried to find the schedule for a train between Philadelphia and Chicago. It took several tries for the schedule form to appear. Filled in the form and it failed to display a schedule. Tried several more times with no success. I am using a Android 14 phone.

Awards travel is separate
The fact that you have to log into the awards section of this through another browser is an issue. All airlines have their travel awards section, but Amtrak hasn't for years. I've had to call in my awards because they're not added for years. I'm tired of having to do this. It should be automatic once the ticket is booked.

Keeping track of trips
App has a hard time keeping up with multiple leg trips. Once again on the third leg we arrived in NY but I can not see in the app my leg the next day leaving New York. Need to fix it to keep from bouncing to the web and the web bouncing to the app and back and forth and not getting anywhere.
