I am using an iPhone and I have noticed that the app crashes pretty frequently. When I try to access the app it's basically blank except for the command strip at the bottom (home, book, status, account , more) and when you tap any of them there's no response. I end up having to restart the phone. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times but it still happens several times a week.

Cannot get a keyboard on the sign in page. Need to fix the glitch!

The coupons cannot be applied, meal selection for the roomette not available , no customer service . Very disappointing

I am so grateful for the Amtrak app because I have had to book numerous trips of late and it has made it so easy to plan. Although my travel points are many, yet, it's nice to see them accumulate in real time. My only complaint is I wish the delay announcements would post in the app sooner. Not unless the delay is due to my phone's network coverage. Anyway, thank you!

This app won't let me Taken My name because was Taken and My email address

While the app itself is not bad, Amtrack's overall computer reservation system isn't great. I just finished a 10 segment 30 day rail pass - an excellent value and quite flexible, definitely recommend - but I needed to change my schedule several times (hence why the pass). Every time but one I had to either call or live chat to do it because the system would just say “an error occurred in our system, please try again.” If the error message had told me the problem, I could have fixed it myself. Mostly this was because only so many seats are available to pass holders so I was hesitant to cancel one before knowing I could make the change, no way to do that without talking/chatting with an agent. I will say all but one of my interactions with agents were great, just a slower process than necessary.

Generally works well and easy to use. Occasionally there are bugs (like with the trip date setting, where it gets stuck) but they seem to get fixed over time. Wish it tied more directly to my Rewards account.

Absolutely terrible app to try and book in advance. We've travelled from the Uk so we have to add in each persons details. Try to click payment, the button fades, as if loading to the next page; but nothing happens. Tried multiple times on 2 phones and iPad. Nothing works. Help chats are completely useless, the ‘agents' even close the chats early without resolving anything! Can't even fill out a feedback form on their website, as they won't let you fill out the current date! Overall a very stressful experience whilst on a holiday. AVOID!!
