Autopay not coming out when they said and charging late fees
Enrolled in auto pay received notification that payment would be taken March 9th they didn't take it and charged a $10 late fee then told me when I called that it was because it was the weekend was told to manually pay the original amount before the late fee and now it shows I still owe $10

Terrible Customer Service
No complaints with the general, until you put in a claim!! That's where you'll run into attitude from adjusters, long drawn out claim issues, they definitely do not want to pay out on any claim! I put a claim in six weeks ago and they're still trying to sort it out. It was a simpleimpact Collision with a curb. They tried to say that it was wear and tear, and that's where the downward spiral really took a turn for the worse. furthermore, the damage adjuster originally working on my claim, left the company, and a new one was put on my claim so the process had to start all over again. The only good part about any of this was the supervisor that took me weeks to find, has been helpful. I definitely would not recommend going with the general insurance. I feel like they've spent all their money on advertisements and paying Shaquille O'Neal. This Hass to be one of the most stressful and agonizing events I've been through outside of being a cancer survivor. Completely unbelievable. As I am leaving this review, they still have not been in contact with me to let me know what is going on. Do your homework, it's worth paying more money to go with a company that does not treat their paid in full customers, so incredibly disrespectfully and leaving them hanging with no communication. Good luck trying to get somebody to help you out as far as customer service goes. Before I got to the supervisor, I had to deal with two adjusters one that was very cold handling my claim, and the second one yelled at me, and was very offensive. Again completely unbelievable. Consumers, beware!!

Insurance doesn’t care about you
They play these commercials and ads like they care about you. They don't care what you go through, they just want their money and will leave you out to die. I honestly regret getting them. They also make you pay your policy before your start date. So if I start aug 12. I need to pay aug 6 a whole months worth for 6 days of coverage. They don't care about hard working people

Having to relog in every time it's giving a gap between myself and the app because I would love to easily access my information without having to retype in my policy number and for some reason my phone doesn't allow me to just go in I have to retype in the information every time just needs to be updated

Had insurance with them with a car in my name (no driver's license) and was let go due to no driver's license. Not a good company! The law says you can have a vehicle in your name with insurance without a license.

What a joke
They are the worst insurance company ever the worst customer service, horrible agents. If you get into an accident they will never call you never never email you respond to your voicemails emails anything lie to you tell you have certain types of coverage even after several phone calls, then you find out that you don't have certain things on your policy which you relied to in the past and told that you did when you actually have to use them will definitely be looking for a real insurance company in the future will not be staying with the general
