It doesn't unlock the next chapter after watching the advertisements like it's supposed to. You get stuck having to reselect to watch an add 3, 4 and sometimes more times for each chapter to unlock.

I loved this app at first but now Im going to delete it because the on going books I was reading have updated their chapters but it won't let me read them as well as some other book series

Tired
Getting really tired of the ads you force us to watch to be able to read the next page for free not closing. That stupid episode game for teenyboppers and several others will not close and will not allow you to report the glitch.

I love to read, especially romance; and this app is perfect for that. But I gave a 4 star rating because I understand that in order for the chapters to be free, you have to watch commercials. But the coins cost too much and you fly through them.

Decent length chapters. Open new chapters with ads or coins. Unlimited chapters per day.

Love the rating/review option, however…
Good and Bad - see comparison vs competitor 6 key pointers: Readict is a second app I've used so far for novel reading, but I have to say, I like Readict much better and here is the comparison this vs that (though not without fault): #1. Readict - Very easy to navigate around. Just tap on scream if you are in the book body text and control options will appear top/bottom to either leave comments, go back to main menu, reduce brightness, jump chapters etc… cuz some other apps are very difficult to navigate anything and instead of pop-up menu on a tap it scroll pages. #2. I also like the better cover previews in this app. It looks more professional and attractive. However not all covers depict the story. Now, I understand the saying “don't judge the book by its cover”, but apparently some of those books really do need to be judged by the covers because the cover supposed to expose the idea behind the story line, yet it does not. Not character description nor the atmosphere. However, I've corresponded with my favorite author and I come to learn that as a beginner writer not everyone has $ resources to get it started in publishing business. So most of the writers manage as they are able. That is, self photoshop amateur lvl. So particularly in this app I try to base my next selection per critical review. Which some are really dumb. But this is the one of the BEST features this app carries because others don't provide book reviewing option other then commenting per/ea chapter. #3. Now, I haven't had to pay a dime in Readict-app but I did watch a bunch of annoying ads to continue reading. I'm glad to read for F R E E because so far I haven't spent anything unlike some other apps that make you even pay for membership in addition to additional coins to continue reading ea/chap. So that is awesome! But with that said, even with fancy covers and user friendly menu options, based on what I've read so far, R-app authors are kinda amateur/teen-like rated R stories. Even in Adult category as one would assume (sexual content) there isn't much action going on there. #4. So that brings me to No.4 - what I'm not liking much about the R-app is the description of the category/theme of a book like: Adult/Fantasy or Werewolf/Adult. Because not all books are actually mature adult content even when they are at that category. The most “adult” content you'll get from certain books is deep kissing scenes or gruesome physical abuse. I don't know if it's a thing from author to author cuz some novels prologue warns of trigger content so what you read about the book preview is pretty much what you get. But I've already completed 2 books claiming to be “adult/fantasy/werewolf” but they were very very and I mean it VERY dull, not even interesting for horny teenagers. But I like the fact that some books are very short. I've noticed few authors have their chapters 4 to 7 pages, 9 at the most. So if you need just a relaxing laid back story after previous mentally challenging novel, to ease your sensitivity, 30 chapters being 4 pages long on ea/chap will be swift to glide through within a day. #5. MAJOR ALARM HERE. Readict app has definite lagging and shutdown issues. Not only that, my iPhone battery gets extremely overheated when I use this app. I got a new iPhone this winter 15th version. I do not have a single problem with other apps as much as this app so for THAT reason I had to switch my reading to iPad. I went back and forth but still my phone overheats when I use this app for reading. I've already reduced allot of functional triggers on this app like no notification pop-up & low brightness but I think the major problem in battery overheating is because of constant add rollover banner at the bottom of a page and rotation ads to continue reading body text. Non of other apps I used have a non-stop blinking advertising anywhere on body text which makes it an easy read rather than constantly annoying as your eye averts to that flashing light at the bottom of the page. Now on iPad there's no overheating issues but I do see faster battery drainage. And what really bothers me with this app on iPad — app preview iPad vs iPhone screen parameters. For some reason Readict doesn't situate well within the tablet viewing screen (meaning the readable space would be just as big as on your phone) and you would still see like 3” thick round black boarder in your available reading space on iPad. So I guess this app was not developed for multiple platforms. #6. And last but not least. I really really and I mean it really want to suggest developers of this app to indicate a feature of FOREIGN authors. Even if their content is in English. Cuz some of the books though really interesting have major grammatical & translation issues. So in essence, if author is originally bilingual (having English as second language) let there be a mandatory selection to indicate non-English writers. So that we the audience can concentrate on story line, providing critical review

It's a short story app . You don't need money to read any of the chapters, but they do use ads ( many are very annoying ads btw atm). Anyways, it still keeps you reading for free.
